I think they should spend a little time letting new readers know who and where the Cap came from, but then jump to the present time and the registration issue/war.  If Marvel was smart they would have some massive super hero battles which would allow them to incorporate more of the lesser known or older heroes.  Personally I don't think they are publishing anywhere near enough titles for subscription and if they get today's kids interested in more than just the Hulk and Spider Man it would benefit the entire comic industry.
