Personally I love Dolph as an action star, but I don't know if I see the skull as an action villain.
Kutcher as the skull is such a strange and weird idea that I'm almost willing to give it a shot, and Bacon certainly has the acting chops for the role, but McGregor is the best of the list I think.

Others have pointed it out but the actor who played the bad guy in CASINO ROYALE would be good.
Mads Mikkelsen

Most of those choices above seem like a joke. Dolph? Too big physically. Bacon? Meh. Thomas? Goodnight, John-Boy! Ashton? Are we being Punk'd here??? PAH-Leaze!!! __________________

Ashton Kutcher? Serious? That's just sad if that's on the list...

Ashton, no (and TERRIBLE). Dolf, no (but not terrible). Ewan McGregor, maybe. Kevin Bacon, yes. Richard Thomas, yes. __________________

I'd like to see Dolph Lundgren as the Red Skull.

Good thing about Lundgren is they would save money trying to make his face look like a skull, they just have to paint it red!
It's like he went from being He-Man to turning into Skeletor.
Just kidding! I am not bitter at all

That can't be a legit list. I like Ralph Fiennes for the Red Skull. It seems obvious to me. __________________I want a giant penny and a lifesize T-Rex statue in my high tech basement.

You know, that is my one grip with the 90's cap film, is that they gave the Skull the super soldier serum.
I really felt the Skull is better as an intlectual villain like luthor, and that would be my main gripe with Dolph. Like I said, I actually feel he is a very under rated actor, so I am sure he'd jump at the role (assuming it's written halfway well) but I like the idea of the Skull as a skulking mastermind rather than a guy to engage with Cap hand to hand.

Thanks Jedge.
I just think that Dolph Lundgren really looks like the Skull. Maybe not his muscles, but his face does. I don't like the idea of him being a super soldier like Cap, but he could still be martial arts expert, while still being more like a mastermind type of villain. But I wouldn't expect the Skull to be the only villain. He would be the boss of course, but we'd have to have some superpowered Nazis for Cap to fight.

Change of subject for a second,
I am almost blind trying to read the little words Cap says to Ms Marvel in New Avengers 62. Anyone out there got them?

Everyone in the comic book movie universe panned the casting of tween hearthrob Heath Ledger as the Joker when that news first came out, so who knows about Mr. Demi Moore. He may surprise us all. That being said, I'm definitely in the Fiennes camp. He's already played a Nazi as Amon Goeth in Schindler's List, so he's got the sadistic, evil part down. But of this list, I'd have to say I'll go out on a limb and say Kutcher is an intriguing choice.

Hugo Weaving is now is talks for the role.
Someone said that Bendis on Facebook said he's got the role but, the way the rumors are flying this month on the Steve Rogers casting, I'm going to wait for confirmation.

I'd be fine with this casting. __________________

Initially, I thought Christopher Ecclestone (who played Destro in GI Joe) would make a neat Red Skull, but Hugo Weaving is also a good choice.

Hugo Weaving is also thought to be the Red Skull according to Newsarama. I am happy to say this is a matching that few could do better. I am excited to see how this turns out.
