And how did that show go???
Somewhere, Bob Fosse is turning in his grave!!

Still,  hope they keep the top hat and cane. We haven't seen that yet in the comics!!

(I'm kidding!)

The Show actually never got off the ground, which was probably a good thing.

Someone, at some point, actually thought this was a good idea.  I am slack jawed.

Maybe they likened it to James Cagney in YANKEE DOODLE DANDY?? That mixed patriotism and song and dance.

Cap's looking for a 10-14 year old girl to be his "special friend" That creeps me out on so many levels.

How far we've fallen....that joke didn't even hit me until you just pointed it out.  Now I  can't get it out of my mind.

My hope for the movie is that Cap actually isn't doing much singing and dancing as much as he's the center piece amid some show girls that are doing more of the dancing. USO shows are typically about getting the soldiers all riled up with women, aren't they? Don't they usually trot out people like Dolly Parton to talk to the troops?

Anyway, I hope Cap's portion of the shows have more to do with acrobatics, feats of strength and shield demonstrations.

Check out that oversized Captain America Bicentennial Battles by Jack Kirby.  Cap was dumped into a big stage production show, where all these chorus girls danced around him as he stood there.
Hopefully the song and dance scene in the Cap movie won't be embarrassing or look silly, just something to tell the audience, 'this is the origin of that red, white and blue suit,' and move on.

Giant penny and a lifesize T-rex?  Isn't that in the Batcave in the Batman comics?  What private santuary does Cap have?  I'm thinking of an office in the Avengers mansion with a couple of movie posters.

Anyway, thank God that this didn't make it on the road.

I don't like the fact that movie's going to actually have him singing, what's he going to sing? Beat It? Why don't you Add the MoonWalk? Let's take that part out of the movie...
