Captain America Message Board / Captain America Message Board / Captain America Comics / Which Issue Am I Looking For?
Posted:  31 Jan 2010 08:09
I was listening to the Comic Geek Speak mega Cap podcast (#2) when they were discussing Cap books that came out after the September 11th attacks.  I have been poking around online and can't figure out which issues came out afterwards. I would like to see what take on the events were found in the Cap books. Also, I was looking at picking up issue 250, which is where Cap thought of running for president, and then the What if issue 26 which is if he did run.
Anyone have any comments on these books?

On another note, if anyone is interested in the podcasts, the Comic Geek Speaks have been doing reviews of each of the Reborn issues and they can be found in episodes 650, 670, 695, 727, and 756. I haven't seen a podcast for the Reborn issue 6, but am guessing that it will be out soon

Thanks for answering my last posting- I picked up the second omnibus and enjoyed it greatly

I believe Volume 4 came out after the 9/11 attacks.

You mean Jamie's Essentials, right? (Which is one of the CGS spinoff podcasts). I was Jamie's co-host for the Cap episode and THANK YOU for sitting through those 3+ hours!! lol We went a little overboard. What should have just been the essentials turned into EVERYTHING.

Dell is correct. The Post 9/11 books were the Volume 4 Cassaday/Rieber Marvel Knights comics.

Here is the thread I started for the CGS and TWO new Cap podcasts, if people are interested...

The CGS guys will be covering REBORN #6 this week and it should be a call-in show. Later in the year, they'll be starting a series of shows covering the different eras of Cap. They did the same with Superman and Batman for their 70th anniversaries are now Cap gets the treatment this year (first issue was cover dated for March 1941 but came out as early as Dec 1940 on the stands).
