The new Avengers animated series according to Marvel Animation's Josh Fine in this interview with comicscontinuum.com will consist of Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, the Hulk, Ant Man, and the Wasp. The last I've heard the premiere date of the series was like 2011, but if anybody has read anything different let me know. Man, I hope its as good as he`s saying. I can`t wait for it. Anyone hear anything on the Thor animated series Marvel was supposed to do???

Although not perfect, the Marvel Animated movies are a move in the right direction. The latest Planet Hulk was -for the most part- true to the story arc found in the pages of the Incredible Hulk. All the animated movies are a bit weak, but I understand the appeal to a broader audience. I am really looking forward to the Thor: Tales of Asgard, its a take on Thor's childhood previously unexplained. I have my kid watching the Super Hero Squad and he loves it. Cool iconic desings with some small tweeks on ones like Thor. Looking forward to this.

I doubt the costume in the cartoon will be in the movie. Again there are things that you can do in a two dimensional way that aren't going to work in live action. Anyway, it looks cool. Love the Superhero Squad by the way. It's just a very silly take on Marvel Heroes, and what I found most interesting, No Spiderman (I guess his cartoon rights were held elsewhere) which is something they made a joke about in the Mayor Egg Head episode.

I was hoping they would animate John Buscema's artwork om the Avengers. Or use his 'style' for the characters. I've seen this overmuscled look many times in cartoons.
