Captain America Action Figures
Posted:  22 Nov 2009 12:51
Hello,
I'm new on this board. I would show you my 12" figure of the new Captain America, based on the artwork of Alex ROSS. Could you tell me how to put pics on this topic?

I use photobucket. Upload your pic to that site and copy the image and paste it here.

I made 3 rights and 2 left hands, the third left hand is on the shield. The different hands are removable.
For the top of the costume, I sculpted it first then I molded it and casted it in a kind of flexible resin. It's better to move the figure and this special part of the costume doesn't break. I found a great metallic blue paint very strong on this resin.
I hope that you’ll enjoy it.

You've gave me an idea. I had forgotten to make a place in the gallery for custom made figures and toys. So here it is the new category http://captain-america.us/gallery/k-custom-made-toys-and-figures-9.htm

Thanks a lot.
I made other figures in the past but it wasn't good. I learned and worked hard in a different way to make this Captain America. I use new material and paint. I tried to make a Captain America the way Hot Toys company should make it. My production is not industrial but I hope to find the same feeling.
I posted my figure on some 12" figure forums, some people ask me if I sell it.
I think of making a limited edition of 10, what you think of it?
I put all my pics on the gallery that Tim created. You can judge my work.

The figure is awesome... I'm pretty picky when it comes to figures.  I hate cheesy looking stuff.

I only collect Cap stuff (Cap comics, figures, memorabilia) except for the new Masters of the Universe Classics line of figures.  They are very cool. I started collecting them because I was a big He-man fan as a kid and the new line is done by the 4 Horseman, who are probably the best figure sculptors out there. Their 2002 line of He-man figures rocked also.  Unfortunately they re-use a lot of body parts for other characters, just like in the old days, instead of customizing each one. I'll post some pics of them if I can figure out how to upload to this site.

Cool man, and how do we contact you?
What is your e-mail?
Also will you be doing a Steve Rogers Cap version in the future?

oups,my mail is eaz.thierry@yahoo.fr
I could do other version of Cap. For this one, I wanted to try my flexible resin and I thought the new costume of Cap could be perfect. I know that I'm not an expert in Captain America versions but if some people want it, I can do a lot of thing. We can easy talk about it.
