Well I read Reborn 4 yesterday and again storywise its flawless. I do like Bryan Hitch's artwork but at times he seems a little over the top with his images. His reworking of the last mission of Cap and Bucky during the war visually rewrote our memories of this event. Here we see Steve looking as he always does in army drabs but then we have Bucky who when last we saw him in Brubakers telling with his shirt off and tortured (I can buy this). Well now we see him fully dressed with even a helmet and his mask as well. And low and behold, the motorcycle has grown a sidecar for Buck to grab hold of. I always thought it was cool how Steve & Buck doubled up on the cycle and as they approached the drone Buck stands on the seat to leap over Steve and get right on the drone. Yeah I know it's only a comic and yes this is more cinematic but I still think the old drawings had a more real approach. Anyone else notice the face mask of Cap on his reaapeance has a stencil like A on it and on the last page it's reverted back to the more familiar one. I would love to see them turn Butch Guice loose on more of the artwork.

Wanted more Cap hopping into other periods of his life, like as Nomad, the Captain, when he had super super strength, ...etc.
Now it's fighting for Cap's body and life.

I got it...It was sold out in like 9/10 comic stores, I had to go ALL the way into the 'hood' to get it, the "1" comic store left...

I buy my comics mail order and usually have to wait until the beginning of the next month to get my month's worth of comics. But I've been slipping into the local comic shop and picking up another copy of REBORN because I can't wait. I might just have to wait this time though.
I like what Brubaker has done with Cap.
I LOVE Bryan Hitch's artwork.
But I'm a little lukewarm on REBORN.
Events are moving slow with this series which borrows heavily from Slaughterhouse 5. __________________
