Once in a while on the net, I come across a few cool Cap items. Some are rare, obscure, strange, or unique.
Sometimes people make an awesome custom Cap item!
What ever it is, this thread is for all too see.
So if you have an item or have come across somethng online, please share it here.
I'll start things off with a few photos I just found online.
The back wheel of a bicycle, and a shoe........

This is Great! My son is sooo into Captain America. He'll be five and wants a Captain America party. I've been searching everywhere for party supplies and decorations. . . without any luck. . . any ideas?

Hi Maggi, awesome to have you here at the Captain America message boards! As for party supplies etc.. I really don't think they is much out there if any at all. Maybe in the near future when the movie comes out, but for now no.
You'll find Spider-Man, Batman, & Superman all over the place but Cap just isn't that big right now outside of comic books.
As for ideas, since there are no Cap decorations to get.... Maybe you can try and go with a patriotic theme, flag items and such decorated around the room.
Then have some Captain America pictures, figures, & dolls around the place to go with the red white & blue colors.
As for a cake, this is what we did a few years ago....
Go to Costco, they make a flag cake for about $15-$17.
Then go to any store that sells toys (Target / Wal-Mart) and pick up some Marvel Super Hero squad items. They are little action figures and you can stick them on the cake.
Here is an example of my sons cake when he turned 4......
Ha ha my sons name is "Kai".
It was supposed to say "Kai"ptain America, but they messed up and put "Kai"taw America LOL! Anyways it was a last minute thing, I know now I can make it look a lot better then it did for next time. Just get a bunch of Cap or Marvel small figures and place it around the cake.
Hope this helps......

Hi,
I'm new to the site, but I also wore the Cap Hoodie when I went trick or treating with my kids. It actually fits looks much cooler than it does on the kid in ad.

Here's a video I found. A guy in Australia showing off his Captain America shield he bought in 2002 I think he said.
Hey Tim, that's one of the shields that I have you see in some of the pictures I post in costume.
It's a really cool shield, really light.
I prefer to carry it when in costume then some of the other shields I have.

Awesome. I wish they'd make some you could throw around. Be a nice weapon especially if it was really bullet proof. __________________
Here are a couple items you don't see too often...
From 1976, Cap in Super 8!!!!! This is a reel of the 1960s cartoon. Keep in mind, this is before home VHS so Super 8 use to be big...
From 1966, a strangely shaped Captain America 45 record. I'm not sure if this predates the re-release of Avengers #4 with the 45 record. One of those, as far as I can tell, is the first audio adventure of Cap.....

Wow Atomic99 those are real nice!!
Look at the amazing condition, it being from the 60's as well.
Nice clean pictures too, thanks for posting!
Can anyone confirm but if looks like, before 1966, there really wasn't any Cap collectables except for the Sentinel of Liberty pin from the early 40s.
There was a really good book that came out a couple years ago about Marvel collectables from the 1960s. There were some Cap things in there I've never seen. Some are on EBay now but so so expensive.

Your probably right. I'll try to keep my eye out on the web and elsewhere for collectibles before 1966. __________________

It is a clever idea and, if it was cheap enough, I'd probably bid on it but I also know I could make my own label too and glue it to a bottle.

That's exactly what I started thinking when I took a good look at his auction and saw his other stuff.
I think I could make one.
I'd pay $10 for it shipped.
Just for the convenience of taking the time to make the label, find a bottle etc.. His looks pretty good too, yeah I think I would pay $10 max for it.
I think it'll look sweet with my Cap collection shelf.
