In a bookshop in one of the malls in our extended city, I came across a Spidey comic, which was packaged with a free notepad. This was, apparently, Issue 57 packaged here as Issue 1, by the Space Toon Group a.k.a. Kids Media India. The new line of comics was launched by MarvelKids, and also promoted the Spidey & Friends merchandise, which, as we all know, became Super Hero Squad.

This comic was, frankly, quite funny, and quite kid-oriented, like old Spidey cartoons. The concept of Paste Pot Pete was hilarious, and the art, by Santa Cruz and colours by Sottocolor's A. Street, was done well- thankfully not something that looked like a storyboard from Super Hero Squad. It was fun to read, and the notepad is useful, but I'm not keen on getting another one- I'll save my cash for some X-Men  or Avengers issues, if there are any coming up, or a real action comic featuring Spidey.
