Allright... Jacket 90% complete. I have to put the buttons back on and do the epilauts. I'm hoping to have this whole shebang done in another week or so and i'll get a whole mock up shot with the waist rig, shield and bandoleer. the star and stripes are done in acryllics and they are kinda stiff right now. They'll relax after i wear it a bit. whatcha all think?

Couldn`t help but notice the Star Trek vessel and the Boba Fett bobble head in the background. A man after my own heart. Thats all I collect is Cap, Trek, and Star Wars.

I like it.

That Cap uniform was by far the most realistic one I've seen. I honestly can't see the soldiers of the second world war doing anything other than laugh at a man headed into battle in red white and blue tights. A red white and blue uniform though? That would work.

And yes, the only men who should be seen in the spandex outfits are those who attend the gym with far more regularity than I do.

With the benefit of hindsight, possibly a darker (dustier? greyer?) shade of blue would have been closer to the pictures, but it's always hard to match colours to inks.

Yeah i agree. I actually had a navy blue outfit i was gonna use instead of the royal blue one above. If you look at his WW2 costume in ultimate alliance it was a VERY dark navy blue. I was wanting to go with that. After i got it mocked up, it just looked too dark. runnin around in it at night it would have looked black. so i went with the royal blue instead. i actually wanted it darker myself. hmmm.. mayby i'll do up the darker one and let you all decide.

Yesir, attempting to anyway.
I've got a WWII jacket off of ebay about a year ago.
Found some matching blue cargo pants, and I got some military boots & ammo belt that I used on that black Cap costume I posted pictures of before.
I think I'm set, I'm hoping to use it at WonderCon.
Not 100% sure on my WonderCon schedule, but I'm hoping to be there Friday & Saturday.
Sunday is Easter so I gotta be with the kids.
What's up with WonderCon anyway Atomic!??!
Putting the con on Easter weekend?
A lot of talent has dropped out already, I think because they realized it was Easter weekend.

Yeah, probably the only time they could get the Moscone in the Spring. I have some friends dropping out on Sunday so we'll see how business is that day.

San Diego will be interesting too. Many are noticing the Hyatt wasn't open for their con discount with they did their thing on Friday. The hotel is saving their rooms for a health leadership summit that week. Al Gore, Newt Gingrich, and Dee Meyers at this thing. It should be an interesting clash of cultures.
