Everyone read 601 yet? It was absolutely awesome. I loved the old school story with the vamps and what not. God I REALLY liked it. Brubaker is a killer writer, hands down. Seeing Colan`s art paired with it was just a killer combination. If for some reason you haven`t bought 601 yet, run, fly whatever you can do, get IT!!!

Yes 601 was phenomenal. I really liked the way the story suddenly takes a left turn when Cap and Bucky are with that dying soldier. Gene Colan is one of a kind. I've seen a lot of his pencil work before the inker comes in and it's simply amazing.

I didn't like it much, it was okay, it was just Cap beheading Vampires.
Didn't really take anything to me.

I saw some shots online and I totally agree with you. Sometimes the inkers improve work but I like his better in sketch, lol.

I have both the regular and the pencil variant but I still have to read this. Gene has been working on this for a couple years since it was originally suppose to be an annual back in 2007.
Gene Colon just went into the hospital this week with Pneumonia. I just saw him last month in San Diego. He's up there in years and has battled with a few health issues for the past couple years. Here's to a speedy recovery. __________________
