Vincent, I agree with you where I wish Steranko stayed with Cap, or at least would have returned at some point to do a little more issues.
His "run" if you can call it that, is probably the finest Cap stories and art...ever!
At lest in my opinion anyway.
It was so ahead of it's time, for 1969.
Quote: What I read, Steranko took over the Cap books at 110, made 3 books, and wasn't happy when Lee and Kirby made an 'album' book for 112, breaking up his 3 issue run
Well what I heard (and I have no remembrance where I heard it, or links to back me up)
was that Steranko fell way behind after issue #110 & #111 that Lee & Kirby worked on #112 because they had to buy Steranko more time for #113.
I heard that as great as Steranko's art was, he was a little slow when he worked on full comic runs. Which is why afterwards he mostly did covers here and there for Marvel in the 70's.
This is just what I heard a while back, but I really don't know how accurate or if there is any truth to it.
I guess it sounds believable though...
I guess I will have to do a Google search and try and find out more info on it.
Thanks for the input Vincent.
