Freakin awesome!!!!!

Gotta get those Joe Simon sigs while you can!
Chandler will be getting me a few in October.
Posted:  14 Aug 2009 01:30
What I like about Joe's signature is that you can read it. Some sigs are unreadable by other creators.

Hey Sam! I will be sending you the German Variant by next week. Also I have been using the Cap cd's you sent me. Thank you so much again.

Thanks so much Tim! I just got e-mailed from Chandler and he said October 14th is the date when he will see Joe Simon.
The deadline for sending him books for Simon is 9/25.
So as soon as I get the German reprint from you I will include it with a few other books to send to Chandler. (Cap #100, #109, and maybe a few more)
This is going to be so awesome!
Thanks Tim!

I will probably be sending another 3 books also. The Cap #300 that Zeck signed and sketched and maybe Cap #454 last issue and either another German reprint or something else. Hes gonna be 96.

Oh man, you guys are so lucky...
I don't have any valuable Cap stuff...
Don't have that many issues...
Only 12 figures...
Still, I'm probaly the biggest Cap fan in my state. EVERYONE LIKES SPIDER-MAN...

What's a CGC?
Posted:  16 Aug 2009 00:45
Its a comic book grading company. Go to cgccomics.com to learn more. Awesome site with their own chat boards. Lots of information about comic related stuff.

It's an awesome addition to my Cap art collection.

Glad you like it so far. Have to fix the eye size. Trying to figure out how I should make the eye look. Dont want it to look like a blank stare. Was thinking of just leaving it white. What do you think?

Hmmm..... tough call on the eyes of which would look best....
I think either way would look pretty cool, not sure which way would be better though. If I had to lean one way... maybe white eyes.
Any othr opinions out there?
Awesome job inking it, I had no idea you had some art talent yourself. Pretty cool!

Hey Tim did you see the Mike Zeck CGC sketch offer the other day from Danny on the CGC Sig boards?
My kid was sick that night, (he's 2) he woke up in the middle of the night. So after I put him back to sleep I was wide awake so I decided to check the CGC boards and bam the Zeck offer was there. Kinda expensive for me, but I'm a huge Zeck fan and he doesn't do cons anymore so I jumped on it.
Those boards are pretty cool, it's sending me to the poor house at the same time though ha ha!!

Hey Sam! Sent my books to Chandler the other day for the Simon signing. Also included the Bday card for Joe. Sent 3 books in for the signing. Another SS witness will be at the Big Apple Con and is also doing a Simon signing so I migght submit 2 more books for that one on-site. Cant wait to see what the piece of art that they are giving away for this signing. Hope either you or me wins it.

I'm gonna have to keep an eye out for Mike Lilly if he ever comes to a convention on my neck of the woods.
Just WOW!!

Thanks! Yeah, He is awesome. Super nice guy. Lives here on Long Island. I think he was at San Diego Comic Con this past year. I am definitely planning on getting another one from him.

I also got Alex Maleev, which he did a watercolor that looks great and Herb Trimpe did a nice Cap. They are actually my first sketch covers so I'm pretty happy with how they turned out. I had a few of the Fallen Son blanks but I just picked up 18 more. So i plan on getting a bunch of these done.
The SS witness who did the Zeck signing is getting a Mike Perkins Fallen Son blank done for me.

i have that cap issue #1 9/11 comic
Posted:  21 Nov 2009 01:08
so if you get a comic and get it signed is it considered a signature series
Posted:  21 Nov 2009 03:03
No unfortunately. It has to be witnessed by a CGC witness and graded by CGC to authenticate the signature. Like the books in this thread that are in cased in the plastic shell with the yellow labels. Those are the SS books.

what if u take a picture????
Posted:  21 Nov 2009 18:27
Nope! Has to be signed in the presence of a CGC witness. That's it. Doesn't matter if you have a certificate of authenticity. That's the only way CGC will say that's who signed the book.
