True Believers,

I submitted this brief article to comicbookmovie.com a few weeks ago and didn't think anything about it. Last night I was doing my CAP rounds onine that saw that they actually posted it!

I know most of you on here already know about my casting idea (me) but here's the link if you want to read it:

You Go Wade!

I hope you get a shot to read for it!  And it would be really cool if you got the part (don't forget us then, we will expect approved spoilers and on set updates).

Just out of curiosity you have an agent?  What do they think of your quest?

Nice job getting your name out Wade!

I gotta say I disagree with most guys at that site though. They keep saying you are "too big"?
I seen the pictures you posted and you have great height & size to pull off Cap I think.
Too big? The Cap I see in the comics has a good build to his body, he's not a thin superhero.

For me I have no idea about how good your acting ablility is though, so I can't judge there.

If you have some decent acting talent, add that to your height & body size plus your passion for Cap, hell I don't see why you couldn't pull it off.
I hope you at least get a fair shot to compete for the role.

After reading some of those comments at Comic Book Movies Fansite I feel like chiming in again. Before I go any further though I'll start with saying I'm 6' 2" and 228lbs. So let's let it be said that I'm not one of those "scrawney dudes" from the other page. Wade as nice a person as you seem and not to forget having served in the Armed Forces of our great nation I still think whoever gets the role of Cap should be built more like a decathlon winner and not strictly a body builder. I won't insult you being a Cap fan by saying you could play one of the villians. Maybe U.S. Agent or even a new Version of Battlestar. Don't pull the race flag on Battlestar, I mean look at the Marvel movie Nick Fury. Anyway, thats my 2 cents.
Good Luck to ya Wade.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I'm trying to do what I can, since that's all... er...I can do. (ackward Austin Powers moment).

Matches,

I do have an agent that I've been with for three years. He does know about me wanting to play Cap. I just talked to him about a showcase I did with Randi Hiller, who was the casting director for Iron Man 1 & 2 as well as Thor. She liked me enough to invite to another audition they where doing on the side for a non-paid job.

He did submit me for Thor but I never got called in. Casting directors and producers with go the bigger agencies first then go to the smaller ones if they need to but they usually get what they want with the top six agencies in town (there are a few hundred in LA!)

I don't think Chris Hemsworth had that big of an agent, but he did have a manager that believed in him and got him in a second time after they passed on him but still didn't find what they where looking for. The second time, he brought the Thor goods.

Schmucker,

I know nobody has really seen me act, but trust me, I am trying to change that. Now that the SAG fiasco is over with, we can all go back to work!

Oh, and the body thing, I don't think I am too big either. I looked big in that hot tub pic because I was pumping up like crazy because I didn't feel like I was cut enough to be on TV at the time, so I figured I'd at least be look big!. Also, that thing about the camera adding 10 lbs, seemed to be true. With my height and frame, I'm a bigger guy and athletic, but I am not John Cena huge.

JBB,

Thanks for the comments. I know I am not everybody's cup of tea when they think of CAP, but I am drawn to at least TRY to get the role. I feel like I am suppossed to for some reason, and that makes me want to. Also, I'm not offended by people thinking I look more like a CAP villain. Of course that is not my goal, but as a fan, I think Crossbones and John Walker are fantastic characters. Actually, if I had the role, I'd like to see John Cena as John Walker in a CAP sequel and maybe somebody like Roland Kickenger as Master Man and some other buff dude for Crossbones. Of course that is my opinion.

Thanks guys,

Wade

I wish you luck Wade.  I'd prefer someone who WANTS to play the part as opposed to an actor who is in it for the money and the obligatory "oh looky looky I'm Captain America" jargon that will come after the movie comes out.

Thanks again guys, I really appreciate it.

It's really nice to get words of encouragement

With that stare, I'd say you'd be perfect for Heimdall if he's in Thor.  I don't think you're too big for Cap, but you would need a prosthetic chin with a cleft : )   Good luck man!
