Even without the war, shield, Steve Rogers, still a pretty good Captain America adaptation.
I loved the fights and that cliff-hanging endings.

Just a quick chime-in. Cap is the best and my favoraite of course but the best serial I have ever seen is Spy Smasher, then Captain Marvel, mmmm maybe a good topic for another site.
