Just saw 007: Casino Royale. Believe it or not, this is the first Bond movie I've ever seen in its entirety, much less opening week in a theatre. Because it was based in reality, I really sought this movie out and enjoyed it.
If Craig could do an American accent, I think he would've made a very good, rugged Cap. I know this will never happen as he is know the biggest-star-of-the-moment and probably signed to play Bond in sequels.
Too bad Marvel can't get its #### together and sign a writer, director and lead actor in time before the 10-year anniversary of the day those Islamic fanatics attacked us on Sept. 11. Patriotism was at an all-time high, and I think a Cap movie should've been done two years ago, giving us a sequels in 2007 and 2010. As it stands, we'll be lucky to have a Cap movie by 2011.
Sorry, just frustrated that this Cap movie is still floating around in nebulous pre-production waters. __________________

I know what you mean about the wait for the movie.
I can't wait to see the new James Bond movie. I'll probably end up waiting for DVD though.
I can't wait to see how he measures up to Pierce Brosnan who I always thought was perfect for the part before he ever got it.
The next big movie I'll have to decide on going to the theatre or waiting for the DVD is Rocky Balboa. I am a huge Rocky fan. Anybody that can get in a ring even just pretend and make it look convincing at close to age 60 is my hero. I don't know, I just like the whole idea of never giving up till the last breath kind of attitude Rocky movies display. It's completely American.
Of course you know what I am going to say about Daniel Craig: he's too British, he's too old, he's not big enough, he's got weird ears, but I actually like Craig and I want to go see the new 007. I think I will see it this long weekend. I heard it has great action.
Also, I think we'll get a CAP movie just about 2010, so you may not be too far off. That is just my gut feeling, but I guess we'll have to wait and see. Of course I'd rather wait to have a good CAP movie than get one now and have it be weak.

You know I could go to film school and be about ready to get into the film business by 2010. Hmm, I wonder. I wish they'd get it done. I really think I could be a good movie consultant at least.
I hate the thought that Craig is too old, I'm in my mid 30's and I like to think of myself as still really young. Craig is like 38 I think, so that's really young. (That's my story and I'm sticking to it) I know it's not like 20 which is what Cap would have to be at the beginning of his career, but some people look young in their 30's. __________________
You don't want John Cena? I know I already brought that up on here before, but he has a good look. Maybe his horrible Marine movie did not do good enough. I did not see it, but I MAY rent it when it comes out just so I can see how bad it turned out.
As for the age thing, I am fine with somebody who is in their 30's who looks younger. Look at Tobey, he's like 31 or 32 now and he is still playing a young Peter Parker. I'll be 30-31 in 2009 (birth day is in the middle of the year) and I think I look pretty young in the face since I don't smoke, RARELY drink and pretty much stay out of the sun. Also, 90% or so of what I eat is organic. So hopefully in the next 2-3 years I will not age too much in the face.
I say 2009, because movies are filmed about a year before they come out. Takes a while to do the post production work.

Val Kilmer is one of my all time favorite actors, but I think unfortunately he is getting a little too old to play a superhero like Captain America.
He was great as Batman. In fact in my opinion, Batman Forever was one of the best Batman films for sheer entertainment. Batman Begins is probably the best though. Although I did think the villains fell a little flat in Batman Forever. They were trying to go way too far over the top and they fell off. __________________
Val Kilmer is a great actor, but yeah, he's way too old now. As for Brian Bosworth, he may have been pretty decent 15 years ago, but he's too old to. Also, if you've ever seen his movies, we can pretty much go with ANY other unknown that has the look, since Bosworth is a horrible actor.
If you watched the special features in X3, they had to do a lot of CGI to make Prof. X and Magneto look younger. Pretty sure Marvel Studios does not want to CGI the main actor the entire movie.

No they probably wouldn't want to do that. Not only would it be possibly costly, but the publicity might be negative.
But you know what, that does open up possiblities. What if someone wanted to make a new James Bond with a young Sean Connery, or create some flashbacks for any other characters.
Indiana Jones 4 is on the way, so if they need to do some young Harrison Ford flashbacks, boom just cgi it.
How long will it be before John Wayne is brought back to team up with new modern day actors? Of course you can display his image, mimick his voice even, but you can't capture his spirit through cgi. You just can't predict with 100 percent certainty how an actor might have handled a scene. __________________
