Guys, I'd really appreciate your opinions on my Time Rider trailer for my very own comic book character.

Is Maxx suppossed to be just like Dean Stockwell's character in Quatum Leap, or is it actually the same character. Remember he had his little hand held computer' I think it was called "Iggy," not quite sure, and he was like a hologram or something that only Scott Bakula could see.

Same principle I guess but Max is a lot less human at least in appearance anyway. I plan on developing more on Max as I go along.

By the way Quantum Leap is one of my all time favorite shows. The only thing stopping me from getting the dvd sets for that show is that I heard they didn't use the original music. I hate that. Some scenes especially like the scene where Al is dancing with his wife and "Georgia" is playing in the background could not be replaced by a generic fake song.

Amen to Quantum Leap. I could be forgetting something, but that would def be in the running for my "Best Show Ever int eh History of Television" nomination.

Just such a cool idea, the story was never bound to the same setting or characters. The writing was amazing. The acting was PERFECT. The formula for the show just guarenteed a good time with every episode. You knew there would be action, suspense, spirituality, sci fi, romance, and a quest for justice every time out. I wish Enterprise could have channelled that "THIS IS FUN" vibe, but it was always just so self-concious... just goes to show that writing is the number one element to film or tv. If that is there, everything else usually falls into place.

About the trailer: Tim, I'm always impressed with your  mechanical abilty with regard new media. If i had any critique of your trailer, you might just shorten it up and throw your character in there more. But I think it looks good.

Quantum Leap was good on a lot of fronts. The acting was good, the scripts were excellent, and with time travel as a premise there is like a never ending amount of stories that can be told. The most important ingredient in the series was it's humanity. The characters were shown as real people. The Enterprise show had Bacula way too stiff. You never came away from the show feeling you knew the character the way you did Quantum Leap.

The episodes where Sam goes back to see his family and then goes to Vietnam to save his brother was my favorite of the series.

Thanks, I'm still learning when it comes to videos. I actually did want to add the character more in the video but just didn't have enough material I thought looked right. I could have taken more time I guess but I wanted to showcase the V shown in the video. It's interesting, I chose the V symbol for Time Rider since the V was such a symbol for victory in WW2. After making the V insignia, I ran into this ww2 training film used for US soldiers,  and there it was the V symbol. I thought it would be neat to put it into the trailer. The music I found for the video was believe it or not named "Victory".
