We hear about the 1940s movie serial, the 1960s animated television show (along with his guest appearances in Spider-man and Avengers cartoons in the 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s), and of course the two 1979 made for television movies and the poor Cap film from around 1990 (which DID get a European theatrical release).

But did you know about the Captain America film from 1973???

3 DEV ADAM is a Turkish film that teams up Mexican wrestler Santo and Captain America against the serial woman killer known as......Spider-man???!! WTF??

Yes, it is bad. But if you have a craving for bad films and bad Super-hero films for that matter that distort our familiar comic book characters, it is a traffic accident that is well worth slowing down for to catch a peak.

I'm reasonably sure this wasn't an official Marvel-sanctioned endeavor. There are other Turkish films for characters like Superman that completely abuse copyrighted material in a country that probably has some dubious copyright laws. But it is an interesting oddity, whether you count it as a Cap film or not.

You can read more about it here....

Absolutely it is a foreign film. From Turkey with Turkish actors. If they released it in the States, they would be subject to lawsuits from the copyright abuse (assuming they did not get permission from Marvel).

It can be found online and ordered.

Back in the 90s, I read an article on Marvel superheroes made for live action Japan tv and movies.  The Japanese Spider man made it here in North America as bootleg copies.  I've read that there was Cap character in a series called Battle force Z.  Anyone know more about this?

From Wiki....
The Marvel/Toei deal resulted in this series (Japanese Spider-man) and Battle Fever J (1979), which was not only the third Super Sentai series, but essentially a Japanese version of Captain America.[1]

And here is the page for Battle Fever J. I can't see anything that resembles Captain America other than heroes representing countries.

Well, there's only like about 150 Marvel studios in the world, and Turkey is not one of them.
And, It doesn't say "Captain America", it could be another hero.
I mean like:
Black Suit
No shields
Instead of a shield, he has a gun or a chain
ect...

I have the movie.
It is Captain America.
The changes are no different than the 1940s serial.

"150 Marvel studios in the world and Turkey is not one of them"?????

Thanks for the info on Battle fever J, but without the shield and the stars and stripes, it's not Cap.  I'll pass on that Mexican Wrestler, it's just so much I can take on 'Far out wild out-of-character" versions.

It said Atomic:

This film is considered the holy grail of all superhero flicks. Istanbul is being terrorized by a crime wave, so the police call in American superhero Captain America and Mexican wrestler Santo, to try and stop it. They must battle a crazed Spiderman, who is the mastermind behind all the crimes and who looks exactly like the U.S. version, except now he is a homicidal maniac who carries a chainsaw and switchblades. He removes his mask only when he wishes to engage in sex. Stan Lee beware! (In Turkish language, with English subtitles
The Holy Grail? WTF? It might have been the creation of Hero Vs Hero.
