Here is a  link to the Sneak Peek to issue # 42 of Captain America. http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=preview&id=1056&disp=table . We're finally going to get to see what the Skull and Zola are doing with the time machine.....or are we?

two words:

BOTCHED EXPERIMENT!

SPOILER:
Red Skull killed...again...by Bucky.  Soul of Skull transferred into Zola.  Very funny picture last page of book.  Red Skull's head in the view screen of Zola's chest.  LMFAO

NOT A SPOILER:  After reading Marvel Apes #2, I can't help by think that these dang-dirty-apes are going to be part of the Captain America story.  Something about the lab of Zola and the lab of Mr. Fantastape (or whatever his name is) just seem too much alike.  ESPECIALLY the look of the time machine and "dimensional-thingy".  Am I wrong in saying they both look like white tables?

SPOILER:
Skull never had a body to  kill, Lukin is the one Sharon blew away just moments after Zola got the Skull into one of the many Zola bodies.

I don't get it, in all the issues, Skull had a chance to kill Bucky, Sharon and Sam, he didn't take it, he just talked...BLAH, BLAH, BLAH...
And I keep forgetting, who is the Zola guy???

Arnim Zola was created by Jack Kirby in the 1970's. He's pretty much always been faithful to the Red Kull as he was around in Hitler's Nazi Germany. For more info on this guy just look him up in Wikipedia.

Well now that the epic, "The Death of Captain America" has come to its conclusion, we are left with the threads of what was it Sharon saw, Arnim Zola has stated he can fix the time machine and will get back to the Red Skull soon, who when we left him, was trapped in one of Zola's robot forms. We the readers still don't know what the Skull's plan for this device was, what happened to the gun Sharon used ( it seemed like S.H.I.E.L.D. could have used simple ballistics records to trace the gun unless she used one supplied to her).
I still feel the time machine or whatever the Skull's device from Dr. Doom (for one use only) will be the means for the return of Steve Rogers. I'd love to hear what other people's theories are.

One use only, eh?  Do you think Zola would use the machine to go back before Steve Rogers was shot to use him as the being for Red Skull's persona to inhabit (the Red Skull has NO SOUL!)?

Doom had told the Red Skull it could only be used one time. Kinda like a disposable camera with one picture only.

Just got #42 in the mail, and...*spoiler* Sharon kills the Red Skull, the Red Skull is thought to be dead, Sharon get's her mind back and Red Skull ends up to be that robot guy.

The Cosmic Cube, perhaps?

Great book, loved it!  Action, drama, etc...
Theories:   That was Steve Rogers that was being ressurrected by that time machine, he's been hiding in Sharon's body!!  Back in issue 6 or 7, Sharon was captured by the Winter Soldier in Pittsburg (I think that's the city, got to go check the book), Cap sensed her danger and traveled from England to Pittsburg to rescue her.  Lukin blew up some of that city to power up the cosmic cube.  Skull, Cap and Sharon were around when the cube was smashed in that cool Waid/Garney book, and the Skull did extract some of the cube's power from his body,...
Just enjoy reading the book, see what mess that 50s Cap would make, or what messes the new Cap would be making.
