I just found this site and all hell has breaking loose there! I also got in contact with one of my Cap comic buds who just got banned from the site just for saying he liked this new actor. AND GUYS HE'S REAL! HE'S REAL!!! AND HE'S AN AWARD WINNING ACTOR!!!! 100 PERCENT LEGIT!
Now here is a recent post that just shook me all to heckfire with excitement!!! Somebody knows this Steve Rogers guy!! He's a great actor!!!! Here's the link!!! Thank god the site didn't delete it yet. My bud says they have been banning anyone who is in favor of this new actor Steve Rogers because they want Leo Dicaprio to play the part and because they hate the comic book "aryan look"! My god that was the whole deal! The best Aryan looking American (Hitler's ideal) came and took Adolf out of commission! It was poetic justice at it's best!

One of the jerks there named shadowboxer wants Steve Rogers to die and others just bash the heck outta Captain America. This is sickenng guys! What should we do?

Yeah I know Tim. Your board is top notch. Some of my buds read here alot and they all say this board is "Captain Americaesque". Everyone gets their chance to speak out. I like reading debate and discussion. I like reading Pole's thoughts and others cause it gives a different view. It's about freedom! It's the American way. And I just noticed they banned some latino guy just because he liked Mario Lopez and thought the Steve Rogers guy looked good. It's a sad state of affairs for sure.
Anyway I was excited to find out that this Steve Rogers guy is real and is an award winning actor. Supposedly he's the Carrie Underwood of acting! I mean what do you think? I don't know much about all this. I just wanna see the best man possible play Captain America.

Hi pole! Yeah you're welcome! I love reading your posts! I never thought of it that way. I bet you like Stallone he has the thick Italian Stallion hair. I think Arnold had more thin like hair though didn't he?
I don't know much else Pole except for the post there I found. Hope we can find out his whole name.

Yup. Did you know that Timely Comics (Marvel) had picket-ers out front of the building because there was such an outrage. And get this, it wasn't because he was a blonde with blue eyes, it was because they were punching Hitler on the cover. A lot of people said that would Provoke the Axis to War against the USA.

Hi Jolly Rogers. Yeah that was pretty wild with people picketing but that was back then. I believe people want to see our country represented by the greatest of all Americans in every aspect. The man is this movie is going to be the living symbol of our country!

Sounds to me like he has a Kurt Russell and Stallone in First Blood type intensity!!! When I first saw this guy I thought - ahhh is there anything in there behind his Captain America look????
But now I've been given a huge look into what this guy is about and I'm impressed as heckfire! Can you imagine him slinging the shield and ripping the throats out of the Nazis!!!! He's the super soldier miracle man I've been waited for!

First off, I gotta say I got a little nerdgasm from that Pluto description of this mystery man's personality. Cap through and through, almost too good to be true, but sounds like it is. If this guy leaves the kind of impression that that poster described, and he's an unknown at that (Chris Reeve, anyone?), maybe we might have something here. I did my senior honors thesis at Berkeley on comic book superheroes and part of it involved how films are indeed driven by the fans, to some extent. Films that try to change too much of the character or the origin (Sorry Will Smith, as talented an actor as you are, Cap isn't Black), the film falls flat and tanks. If you still have doubts as to how much impact fan input has, look no further than Richard Donner.
Donner's design of Krypton, that cold and alien ice world, resonated so much with viewers and with fans that it became the basis for John Byrne's Krypton in the mid-80s reboot. He didn't copy it wholesale, but he took the cold and inhospitable atmosphere so that Superman would have an affinity for Earth, where he had a warm and loving family, as opposed to the cold technology of Krypton.
If enough pub gets out on the net, especially sites like this, CBM, and SHH, then maybe someone associated with the Cap film will see it. Ya never know. I think we underestimate how much research these people do for the films they make, and with Cap, that due diligence is key. Cap is Marvel's Superman. He's the lynchpin, the conscience, the heart and soul of a good portion of Marvel's universe, as anyone who reads this site probably already knows. If they made sure to do IM right, and to do Incredible Hulk right, I have faith that they'll put the same heart and effort into casting Cap.

Brendan Fraser is fun to watch no doubt about it. I'm not sure if he fits my idea of Captain America. He does fit into the old 40's mode easy enough. He's a swashbuckler type. I don't know. Maybe he could pull it off.

Funny you should bring him up. I was just watching Mummy Returns (I know, I know) last night on TV and kinda put the mental Cap mask on him and thought, "eh, why not?" He could do it, he looks young for his age, and he's done the whole action thing and the drama thing before. And he's got the potential for the "voice that could command a god." No major problems here. Not great, but not bad either.

Yeah Pole you are the man!!! Stallone and Arnold are the best that ever lived!!!!! It's really sad that there isn't anyone like them around anymore but this new Steve Ryan Rogers sure gives me hope!! And
I love Brendon Frasier and that picture you posted of him actually makes me think of him as Bucky. He would be the perfect aww shucks side kick for Steve Rogers and could bring some comedy along too.
And EverydaySuperhero I had the same reaction you did when I read about that big write up on Steve Ryan Rogers. I think it's legit. I don't see any reason why someone would something like that up and I've seen other people on other sites claiming his won acting awards to so yeah I'm really really excited. I would love to see a Cap manip done of Steve Rogers. I think I would just absolutely lose it you know cause he looks so much like Captain America.

I think the reason the whole "CGI" rumor got started is because the dude looks like he stepped off the freakin page. Kinda like another big-time superhero and small-time actor. Some guy named Reeve.
Pole - glad I'm not alone!
Someone has to get this dude's real name. I mean, calling him Steve Rogers is fine and all, but I think it perhaps betrays a sort of psychosis on our part, haha. However, I do like that his name has "Ryan" in it, as that is also my name. Makes me feel involved, somehow.
