I'm adding the link to Comic Book Resource for the Marvel 8-20-08:http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=preview&id=836&disp=table on page 6 the Skull is saying Sharon is no longer of use. The next panel Zola states we need her for ONE THING,yet. If your serious, which I hope you are NOT.
I think this has to do with bringing Steve back, which is why Zola is voicing a BIG negative.
Zola also states " I am still constucting the platform, for one, and--" this is definately the time travel platform for Dr. Doom's time machine. Zola has been reverse engineering it with the hope of more than a one time use which Doom limited it to when he gave it to Skull/Lukin.
I think when this epic, The Death of Captain America concludes in issue 42 this thread of the time machine will be left open in some way.

Time travel seems like such a cliche.
Still we take what crumbs we can get.

I wouldn't mind the time travel thing, as long as it doesn't stray away from the main story or get very convoluted, ...Back to the future2, ...I'm just wondering if this was a way for the Red Skull to return to his original body, got to wait until Wednesday.

I'm guessing they won't tell us a lot in the book on wednesday. But the probable intent is to return to the moment of the shooting and alter things.I still feel they will use the time machine and its linked to Cap. I can't see why Zola would be against using the machine if it was to return the Skull to his original body.Brubaker is VERY crafty with planting clues for the reader. I'm having to ( and enjoying) read the book over and over. This way I seem to find different clues on each new reading.

So, what? You guyas have #41?
Plus, when you least execpt it, he's going top be brought back to life, then Bucky will half to choose, stay as another Cap, or go as Winter Soldier.

Pole805,
I put a link to a 6 or 7 page preview from comic book resource in one of my earlier posts on this page.Go ahead and take a peek. How do you like the avatar I made from my own pic and some work in photo shop? It's modeled after the pic of Bucky in the Smithsonian looking at the Cap exhibit in one of the issues after #25.

Just got 41 and it's very short, and makes you wonder when 42's coming.

I don't remember Dr. Doom in the interference. Anyway, the Grand Director is still on the loose thinking he's Cap. And Sin is trying to win his father's trust by killing the senator.

OK, now that all us "Capophiles" have read issue 41, The "other" device to separate the Skull from Lukin, well where is the Skull going to be moving to? The device from Doom IS the time machine, as you can see from the rectangle floating in the air in front of Zola. Red Skull also states "but for now,the purpose I ALWAYS intended is enough". This is probably to snatch the real Steve from the time of the shooting and replace him with the othe Steve with the shorter hair that Sharon saw and called Steve. This could be an imperfect but undetectable clone (remember we're dealing with Zola and his science) who when shot and killed shrivels to the 98 lb. Steve Rogers. And this could be the Red Skull's new body which he will share with our Steve, the ultimate torture for rogers to know that he and the Skull being dominate, are sharing the same body.

The Skull and Cap in the same body. By day a champion of justice, by night the masked enemy of all that is holy.
Has anyone done a character like that?

Damn, that's amazing. You think Skull's plan was to move his mind to Cap's body? That's just crazy diabolical, I swear people don't give the Red Skull enough credit. He's such an evil villian.
