He has the look, has the prime age, and is a AWESOME underrated actor. He could put Norton and Downey in their place. Just go watch scenes of him on NYPD blue.
All he needs is two years of hard training and he will be Captain America. Write it down. My bet is on him.
Don't you find it funny he hasn't been in much lately.....
I bet he's training right now for the movie!

You guys need to forget saved by the bell. Mark Paul is a real man now and he's got a very strong intesity about him. I can't believe his name isn't being mentioned more.

Pole did you not see in him NYPD Blue? Maybe I'm blind because I'm such a big fan of his. I need to find some better pictures of him.....
What is it you guys don't like about him?
Is it the Saved by the bell deal?
If it's the size - trust me after two years of hard training he would be extremely muscular.

No he shouldn't be Captain America. I think that the best actor for the job is James Franco, he has been in movies before not like Mark Paul has. He has more experience in that market. Mark Paul has more experience on Television than James has. But when I think Captain America I think of people who can suspend belief in those roles and James Franco can - Mark Paul could too but not as good as James Franco who actually to me is a better actor. I grew up watching Saved by the Bell and I loved him in that - but I can't see Zack Morris aka Mark Paul G. as the Captain - I don't think he'd do it. His hair is long know too, I feel that the better man is James Franco.

Isn't James Franco the guy that played Harry Osborn...?
Personally, i would like to see Eric Johnson as Captain America.

Dennis Franz was a great actor on NYPD Blue, too, but that doesn't make him right to play Cap.

James Franco, facially speaking, comes up lacking. He's an accomplished actor, don't get me wrong, but Olde English and Stoner films don't provide the credentials for me.
As for Mark Paul Gosselaar (I had to spell check his name 3 times), He's...okay. As a cop, or a dorm mate, he's got the acting chops...
but name one action movie he stars in.

Sadly, I can. However, I think "Atomic Twister" is better as an example of why he *shouldn't* be Cap, rather than why he should.

He would be perfect if he was more muscular. Maybe he can buff up and play the part.
