okay don't run all over me guys but i'm a big brandon routh fan and i do NOT want anyone to take over his slot if you know what i mean.
alot of people having been stating that this actor:
is going to be the new superman and i am getting a bit upset here. he has a new blair witch/castaway/cloverfield ect type movie coming out and in the preview you can tell he has naturally dark hair in the rain part....urghhhgh..... you can see this stupid trailer here:

and people are saying he is going to be considered to take over for my baby brandon....
umm.....please tell me that he is locked in as captain america because we do not need him bringing his butt into brandon's backyard.
i swear to high heaven some of the posts i have read have made me so mad that i want to scream! people saying brandon isn't this and this guy is more muscular and so on and so forth. well i'm sick and tired of it.
i'm not trying to ruin your guys parade here but this guy can be a perfect captain america but he could never take over for brandon.
anyway , okay i'm trying to calm down heree......
urghhg......this guy is too big for superman! i mean yeah okay he is good looking but he's not brandon!!!!!!
help me out here guys. this actor isn't going to be messing around in any superman outfits is he??????????? sorry if i went off on your man but to me DC Vs. Marvel is like Yankees Redsox. Marvel being the redsox. Now I actually do like Captain America but how would you feel if people starting saying Brandon was going to be taking over for this guy Steve Rogers??????

What about all the Tom Welling fans that want him to be Superman? I'm not against Brandon as Superman mind you, but I wonder what Superman Returns would have been like if Welling was Superman. Might have been a lot different if the Smallville creative team were behind that movie too.

Dude's this is either a fan film or somebody (to include the actor) making a this trailer to promote this guy as CAP. Come on, he's showing his body and the part with the rocks in the letter "A". This is pure marketing and I bet there is nothing more to this movie than the trailer. This is done all the time like the "Worlds Finest" internet movies an all.
I think somebody wants this guy to play CAP. Might be him, but there's somebody pushing this guy.

Ha ha!!! I watched the trailor and have to agree with WHO311 that this dude is just trying to market himself to get hired for the Cap movie.
WHO311 I know you going to be trying yourself for the role and I wish you luck bro!
I gotta say this guy in the picture/video, to me he looks like he would be a pretty solid Cap if he can get the part.

Yeah, he looks the part and very smart for him to market himself with that video and releasing all the pictures of himself. He might have a little help, but he is generating himself some press.
He might have beat me to that video, but it doesn't mean I can't make one myself...............

what are you talking about? that movie preview is for some castaway/cloverfield type movie he's in. he hasn't done anything to promote the captain america movie yet. but i hope marvel gets his stupid butt going because i'm getting worried for my brandon. just keep this guy in marvel land and the heck outta dc kay?

SuzyQ, I don't mean to be rude, but for all practical purposes, you're probably the guy in the video. I know I would be you too if I were that guy, so just can it. He's not going to replace Brandon Routh. They already changed Superman and they're (DC Comics/Warner Bros) not going to change the actor this quickly right after a SUCCESSFUL Superman movie. And yes, Superman Returns was a success. Maybe not as big as it could have been, but it will spawn a sequel and Routh will play him. I'm pretty sure about that.
If you are this mistery CAP guy let out his name already. How about his height too. He might be 5'7"??
of course if he's over six foot, I'll be the first to apologize. Although I know they (ie, maybe you) are not releasing his name because it builds the interest. It does not change that fact that Marvel MAY want an unknown, but they'll want an unknown ACTOR. Not just a guy who looks the part. Most of the Marvel movies had ACTORS who weren't big stars, but they were already actors. If nobody knows this guys name at all and can't find out, he probably hasn't been in anything and a good chance his is just a fan trying to stir things up, or somebody is doing it for him who knew him and wanted to use him to stir things up.
And don't give me that "He's in a cloverfield type movie." I wasn't born yesterday and neither were the rest of us on this board so give us that respect. I know a marketing ploy when I see one, and this one is actually pretty good. So let this guy (maybe it's you) reap the benefits of this PR stunt.
Anyway, I'm on a mission to play CAP, so you, of him, be on onetoo, and maybe we'll see each other in Marvel's Beverly Hills office. Okay?

excuse me? that is the most rude response i have ever gotten from a kid on a message board. you are obviously jealous of that man in the video because he looks like a god. i am attracted to him but he's not my brandon and that's why i'm worried for his part as superman. so i can see how a regular kid like you could get upset about being out of a real man's league.

I liked his smile, his concerned face, that bold look which at first I thought looked arrogant. Great shoulders, might have some presence and command. I don't need to see his butt, however, his running is not bad, need to see him leading a bunch of soldiers. We need to see how he speak, if he can orate a moving, inspiring speach that'll lead soldiers to battle. Is this dude checking this board? If so, how about some interaction with other people, support people or some dynamic action poses?
Anyone check out Scrubs or Chuck, there are a couple of big beefy blonds on those show, Keith, Sarah Chalk/Elliot's boyfried and Captain Awesome on that Chuck show seemed likely candidates for Cap. They can all join this guy and have a Clone war.

About the above so called "trailer", as I stated before I like the look of that actor as Steve Rogers. I have no idea if that guy can actually "act", but from what I've seen he does have the "look".
Now as for SuzyQ......

All previews, trailers, at least state who the production company name is in the front. This thing looks so amateurish.
No actor name, no information, that trailer is NOT an actual movie. Where are the other actors in it?

I thought SuzyQ's reply to my rant was a bit immature sounding too, and as we know, we've had our share of those on this board and I don't really want to get into a useless "kiddie" internet argument.
This guy does look like Steve Rogers and I'm sure the video was only made for internet purposes and that's fine. Just don't expect me to believe anymore than that.
Don't get so bent out shape SuzyQ about me making assumptions about you not being a "woman." As I stated before, it might be smart of whoever posted the video to pretend to be somebody else. Obviously you still want me to think it's not you, and that is fine too, but who's to say it isn't unless you prove other wise. Again, welcome to the internet.

I cannot believe the childishness of "SuzyQ". For all the posts I have made since I joined up in December, no one has ever treated me rudely whether they have agreed with my opinions or not. And I am a woman. I couldn't believe her initial tirade nor her follow up. Whoever will be cast as Captain America will be the decision of the producers and the powers that be at Marvel. It is interesting to speculate on how the casting might go, but it is only that-speculation. The "baby Brandon" comments and her other endearments sound like some of the silly, immature fans I have met any many sci-fi and comic cons. After a point it goes past amusing and into annoying. I have to say this is the first childish poster I have come across since I joined.

Please be civil here, we're all here to talk about Captain America. Plus, I love to read all your opinions and rants even if they differ from my views.
As for people posting their pics and youtube, I love that too, and I'll try to be civil and curtesy with my opinions on your messages. For example, when I first heard that Rodney Downey Jr. was doing Iron Man, I didn't think he was right for that part, but the dialogues were super, his supporting casts from Jarvis the robot to Paltrow helped, and the big metal smackdown (Which we all seen in movies like Robocop and Terminator), was appealing; all contributed to a good movie that was well worth paying the ticket price and finding time on Saturday to see.
There wasn't boards like this back when that 90s Cap movie came out and I wished there was, ...that way the PTB could've read our views and likes on who would play Cap and what we want or what the non-comics fans would like to see in a Cap movie. Plus, I'm just going to keep saying that to make a great Cap movie:
Action, war, good fight scenes, good dialogues, a leader, an oppressive evil force, filmed good, acted good, great fx and good supporting casts.
