To those of you who thought the Cap movie should be like Saving Private Ryan, I agree.  Have frightened soldiers coming off amphibious boats getting mowed down until a certain shielded red, white, and blue company grade officer brushes off the blood, dust, and grime and usher forth a command to take that damn beach!  Let the Star Spangled Super Soldier prove his worth storming his way up the shores of Normandy, deflecting a hail of heavy machine gun fire.

Follow this up with Bucky slinky around enemy bunkers slitting throats of enemy gunners and you will have yourself a wicked good action flick

I agree. Much of the appeal of a great story, IMO, & reflected in several current story lines, including Private Ryan, (also, for me, the new Rambo movie)  & The Ultimates 1 and 2, is having a heroic character whose honor holds up during the most wicked of situations; maybe even showing the dicotomy of man willing to epitomize moral soundness while the world around him crumbles. And do it impeccably. Machine guns slicing and dicing. Action not words. I hated The English Patient.
