I always think about what songs by what artists go well with specific characters.  I hate when a completely rediculous or inappropriate song goes on a soundtrack because somebody at the studio thought it might sell a few more albums.  I think the soundtracks should apply to the characters and the situations in the story.

I mean, the scene in X2 when N Sync showed up on the radio and everybody hated it?  Cool.  Macy Gray in concert during Spider-Man?  Not so much.  Weird Al Yankovic's Dare to be Stupid during a chase scene in the animated Transformers movie?  Blecch.  I wanted to squirt lighter fluid in my ear canals and light a match.

Which songs does everybody think of when they think of Cap?  Or the Skull, Bucky, Crossbones or whomever?  If the movie is set during WWII, obviously the soundtrack would reflect that, but if he comes to the present, what songs would you like to hear?

I personally think Simple Man by Lynyrd Skynyrd sums Cap's spirit up well, but it sure isn't the best song for an action scene.

Simple man very cool.  How about Pantera "Broken Man"

All those picks on songs are great! I got two that might be good for the soundtrack!

1. Guns N' Roses-Civil War
2.Drowning pool-Bodies

Hopefully you like them...because I do.

Here's Civil War..(if u look at the rating, 5 stars!):

Now the song "Bodies" wasn't the best choice but it would kind of good for all the killing in WWII:

Bodies is always good for a big fight scene.  Maybe if Crossbones or somebody similar is in the Avengers movie, it'd be a great scene for him fucking a bunch of people up.

Side note, went and saw Incredible Hulk today (and it SO kicked ass), and on my way home on the radio I heard Hurt by Nine Inch Nails.  Perfect damn song for Bruce Banner.

What about Guns N Roses Civil War?

I have issues putting GnR in with a Cap project, thanks both to Axl's attitude, and the lyrics to Paradise City.  "Captain America's been torn apart, now he's a court jester with a broken heart?"  Axl can kiss my ass.

Maybe I'm just picky.

No no, I meant the song, the SONG! Its a great, war song, saying mybe they can play it at the end of the movies and the credits!!

Quote:
Captain America's been torn apart, now he's a court jester with a broken heart
"I must've been loosing my mind are you BLIND?!?! I'e ssen this a million times!"

Civil war is like WWII touching song you know like "Through the bloody hell, I fight through your Civil War!!!" or "I don't need your Civil War!! No,no,no!"

And your responding to a person whose favorite band is GnR...

Sorry, brother, but credit where it's due.  Axl's a great musician, but the guy's a dick.  If he thinks that after fourteen years I'm spending one thin dime on Chinese Democracy, he's fucking dreaming.

Yeah, great musician, and yet, he has mood swings which does make him kind of a jerk...
