OK, here's a little something to take a break from reality.  If this has been done before, pardon my ignorance, I'm new to the board. So, if you had to put a team of your favorite superheros together, who would they be? In otherwords, your ultimate group/clique/squad.  The catch---you can only have 4 members.  Yes, you can have runner-ups or "bench players"   Have fun...

I'll start:
1. Captain America (who else?)
2. The Hulk
3. Captain Marvel (Shazam)
4. Nightcrawler

Bench players: The Shadow, Batman, Spiderman, Iceman, Angel, Green Lantern.

I would say Hulk but he's too unpredictable.

I'd also want Mister Fantastic for his brain power, or the Thing for his strength. With those guys you could handle just about any bad guys.

My "top" four are the same as Tim's, but I would have The Flash, Iron Man, Moon Knight and Judge Dredd on the Bench.

Maybe we should do like rock, paper, scissors. Come up with a list of heroes, then the other guy figures out a list of heroes or villains he thinks could beat the other ones and explain why, and on and on.

My team candidates would be:
1.  Captain America - no better leadership to be found
2.  Winter Soldier - what better part of a winning team can you find?  To see Captain America and Bucky Barnes shoulder to shoulder would be a treat!
3.  Dr. Strange - an asset to be able to cope with the uneartly and esoteric
4.  Spiderman - spider senses and agility along with loyalty are big assets

My back ups would be:  Thor(power), Daredevil (sense sensitivity), Storm

Colussus - gotta have a strong man
Beast - smart and acrobatic
