Brother, don't open this can of worms again. We went over this for about 2 months on this board.

And just so you know, the overall consensous on the Damon as Cap debate: Matt Damon is a wuss. Nuff said!

Wait, Wait, Wait, okay, WHO311 YOU ARE CAP.

I like that better. Besides, I think I speak for a lot of poster's on this board when I say I don't have the energy to get into another Matt Damon thread.

But I REALLY like the sound of this!

Thanks for the kind words.
I just enrolled in a new acting class that starts this weekend so I can do CAP justice!

I think Matt Damon is perfect for the Bourne series and a great actor but for Cap he is way too short at 5' 10". We already had a great actor in Michael Keaton for Batman who had to be padded and lifts in his boots. DC had the right idea years ago when they chose the relatively unknown Christopher Reeve for the role of Superman. John Cena's about the right height but wayyyy too pumped up for the part. Cap should be built like an all around athelete. I could be wrong but thats my thoughts.

Hugh Jackman is well over 6 feet and he played Wolverine who is suppose to be short, ...
Anyway, there's over 2 years for the Cap movie, my guess would be 2010, gives Damon a chance to grow a bit and bulk up.  If Charlie Sheen could buff up for Hot shot 2, Damon has time.
Check out the fight scenes in Bourne Ultimatum, if the Cap movie want action, you need someone who can direct action movies.  Paul Greengrass (I think is the name) is the director of BU.  If they can't get Speilberg, there's him and that guy who directed Casino Royale.  Cap movie needs ACTION, ACTION and ACTION.  I'm not expecting an Academy Award movie or a thoughtful serious examination of patriotism (like the Hulk movie was a TSE of anger and issues), but a cool, action oriented movie that is enjoyable and exciting to watch over and over again (Like Daredevil, Fantastic four, Spider man 2, and Batman Begins movies which I've seen over 3 times.).

With today's hollywood, I'd be happy if Cap just looked at the flag for a couple of seconds.

A serious, thought-provoking examination of patriotism is exactly what a good Cap film needs.  Stir up those pre-Madonnas in the news media and shake up the PC thought police too.  A friend of mine was in DC a few weeks ago when a lobbyist asked her about how she felt about being an American.  When my friend replied she was proud to be free, the lobbyist said, "Oh, so you're a nationalist, are you?" as if being an American is some kind of disease.  It’s a shame, no one believes in this country anymore.

As to Matt Damon playing Cap, it depends…  I could see him doing the WWII origin story if he got into it.  There’s no question he’s bulked up and can do the physical action as mentioned before, but sometimes Matt comes across kinda dull in the parts he plays, while Cap is a much sharper, harder badass.  I don’t know if Damon’s got the chops…  That one’s iffy…

I know that's why WHO311 is going to play Cap.

Matt Damon and bulked don't even belong in the same sentence.

That must be why they are in seperate sentences then.

The important thing is we know Matt Dammon no gonna play Cap.

Amen. It's time for a line to be drawn between right and wrong again, and for people that love America to stand up and say so. I'm getting sick of people acting like Americans should be ashamed too. It's time good people started fighting back in this war of words.

That's the piont, people say they love the country and the freedom, but they don't.
And what do you see? You see them with Guns or knifes threating people to kill them. You see them running from cops.
