No he was Cap in the old movie. At the end of the interview he said he would just like a cameo in the new movie.
Good link you posted though. I enjoyed reading it. I kind of felt sorry for the guy seeing as how his Cap movie was plagued with such a small budget.

Think it would be cool to have both Matt Salinger and Reb Brown have cameos in the movie. Reb Brown would make a perfect father for Steve Rogers if they are going have some to movie a period piece. Salinger could pay just about any other small part.
That would be cool. Have to pay Homage to those came before us and layed the tracks!

Same here. I read in the 70's it was supposed to be the son of Cap.
