Just watched a DVD called "The Great Raid," about the rescue of American POWs in the Phillipines. It got 2 thumbs up and I enjoyed.

The climactic raid was the best military action scene I've EVER seen, but the story and some of the acting by the supporting cast leading up to finish was pretty weak.

The DVD extras were awesome with a WWII timeline for the events of the South Pacific and documentaries.

In the end I didn't see it as a feature film meant for movie theatres, but a made-for-HBO-type movie.

If the Cap movie has a WWII action scene anything like the exciting finish of "The Great Raid," I'll be thrilled.

I thought that was a good movie too. I wrote a review for it on my movie site.
Great Raid Review

I like the other movie Franco was in too recently where he's a boxer in the military officer training school.
