Forgot a member of the purple & green club: The Lizard, who should be the villain in the next Spidey flick ... If there is one.

Sorry if this isn't really on topic, but I have to ask..Wolverine's healing factor - I've read books where he's been blown up, burned to death, tore in two by Ultimate Hulk, and regenerated from a drop of blood, and a pile of ashes. My question is -

How does the adamantium regenerate? It was placed in his system AFTER he developed his powers. And more specific..how can the Ult. Hulk rip adamantium in two if its the strongest substance in the MU?

Why does Wolverine/Logan in most all of his appearances have to say "I'm the best there is", or some variant?

In regards to #9, all you have to say to a mundane is instead of "Reality is for those who cannot handle Science Fiction" is sub Comics for the Sci Fi part.

Frankly some of the analysis and critiques on these boards are pretty fab!  They are intelligent, observant, and some of the philosophy that gets bantered about is pretty insightful!

The adamantium doesn't get burnt, blown up etc. His body reforms around it. Also the writers seem to have gotten sick of super-recovery Wolverine and have ret-conned it as an arrangement with the angel of death that is now over. Being torn in half doesn't require your bones to break, ligaments, tendons, muscles etc rip and your bones separate at the joints.

If wolverine is Canadian why does he never talk about hockey or watch the Brier of curling.  Will his movie feature songs by Burton Cummings and Stomping Tom Connors?  The next time the New Avengers have a battle a snow zone would it not be awesome to see Wolverine shoot the puck around while listening to Stomping Tom.  Maybe Iceman can just freeze him a lake so he can snowmobile around for a few hours and do some ice fishing.

1.  It's a coloring devise, also the reason that superman's costume is red and blue.
2.  It's the most unorthodox thing to do, no one expects it.  If someone threw something at you that you didn't expect, tell me you wouldn't have a WTF moment.  One extra moment could be the difference between escape and capture.  'Course, Sups has had that happen so many times...
3.  Because the year she was born, the 9 year olds reading the comic wouldn't have noticed, more importantly, it gives freedom of movement without wearing a skin-tight cat suit.  No one's done an upskirt shot yet have they?
4.  It's the Green Lantern Corp.  They all use power batteries that look like "lanterns".  Not all of them have "hands" for their rings, some would have to be "Green Headband" or "Green Belt-buckle".
5.  "Cap's shield is 'virtually' indestructable." (unless you took it apart molecule by molecule, an act deemed improbable but not impossible)  Wolverine is virtually immortal, unless you can stop his healing factor from kicking in.
Virtually = odds of it happening are too insignificant.
Actually = It's a certainty

More importantly, we like heroes, they have weaknesses
We don't like gods ('cept Asgardian-esque ones) because they have everything handed to them, they bore people.
6.  because spiders don't have a problem being upside-down, he "does whatever a spider-pig does"
7.  I think it has something to do with the invisible man always groping her...
8.  "issue 2:  'hey Clark Kent is Superman, he must be an alien trying to infiltrate America and destroy it from the inside.  Let's kill him."  END OF SERIES
9.  I'm gonna guess that you tried to explain to the "popular kids" the reason why Picard is better than Kirk.  NO, I'm NOT saying ST is geeky.  I'm saying that grade-school sucks.  It's over now, be glad.
10.   Have you seen "Kill Bill"?
Bruce Wayne is a Human, he was born that way.  He becomes a superhero and uses the trademark "Batman" to scare criminals.  You can kill the man, but not the legend.
Kal-El (Superman) is a Superbeing due to the yellow sun of Earth.  To fit in with people, he disguises himself as he sees us:  weak, frail, cowardly...except his Parents, the Kents.  They knew after the first picture that they raised him right.
11.  It's a reference to Mythology.  His wing-thingies are a reference to Mercury, the god of speed. (same idea with Quicksilver's hair.)  What's another name for the element Mercury?  Quicksilver.
12.  Spiderman is such a popular guy with youth because he represents the life of a teenager given powers.  Do you remember how life was as a teen?  Peer-pressure, homework, dating, teachers on your back...now add the death of your male role-model due to your inaction, and the constant super-villains.
If a kid wanted to read about adults, he could read about Batman, Captain America, Sgt. Rock...You get the idea, don't you?

to both I say "very Carefully".  If we were talking Spiderman 2, I'd say Doc Oc doesn't wear MUCH anyway.

Mee-sah opper tyred of da poo-doo Jar-Jar.  Give me more misunderstood wookies.  (oh, and SERIOUSLY rent Star Wars Legos if you haven't already.  It's Frickin' HILARIOUS.)

In theory, the adamantium skeleton should have remained in the pile of embers.  If it didn't, someone cheated.

Adamantium is "virtually" (argh) unbreakable and needs heat in excess of (uh, reeeeeeeeeeaaaaalllllllyyyyy hot) temperatures.  it was bonded to his skeleton at molten properties.  It was his healing-factor that saved him (and if it stopped would lead to poisoning)

In the Ultimate Universe his bones are unbreakable but not his tendons/ligaments/musculature  if you cut the spine, it would immediately regenerate.  if you rip them apart the two halfs would need to be rejoined before regeneration.

If they make another STAR WARS movie they should make a Yoda prequel.  That way it could be done mostly in CGI and not require much actors to wreck the franchise like Hayden Cristianson.  Did you see him playing basket ball on TMZ the other day pitiful. But Samuel L. Jackson does rule as a jedi.  If only he could figure out some way of working "MF" into the film somehow.
