I like number two but it's conflicting for me, I also like that world war II era and that old suit is pretty cool (# 3)

I agree, as I like 2 or 3. I always liked that he kind of wore pants and a belt. The cuffs on the boots are dated - I like the lace up version better. The older shield is cool, but probably less useful as far as "throwing" it around.

Well, #4 is my desk top background right now, but I change that every few months to keep my focus. I don't get why his is wearing gray pants and hiking boots. It is cool looking though.
I like #2 the best, but 3 is good, and I always liked USAagents costume, but not on CAP.

Those top 3 are from Ultimate Alliance, no?
I pick the ultimate (middle) costume. When playing, I use the classic costume. WWII is also cool. I don't care for the U.S. Agent costume. __________________Of course, that's just my opinion. I could be wrong.

I always thought US Agent's costume was great, but I really didn't go for it on Cap. I wasn't even sure why Walker went for it given the circumstances, other than the Super Patriot costume was just ridiculous. I guess he didn't want to take the subway in his underwear, so black costume it was.
As far as a favorite Cap look... hard to say, but just to play the devil's advocate, I'm gonna say WWII Cap. That one looks the coolest and seems to make the most sense for the time period.
Ultimate Cap's uniform is cool and all, but it is just the old costume drawn more realistically. There are seams and some things that would be awkward are removed. It doesn't really offer the protection of the WWII costume. I once heard the modern Cap look was going to bear a resemblance to riot gear, which makes more sense. They started doing this in Ultimates 2- which I thought was an improvement.
Your last Cap look I just don't go for. If its gonna be that close to the original, it might as well be the original.
But its all subjective. Having a favorite is hard to do.

My fave is the way he was originally drawn, with round sheild though, not adulterations to his costume, when you have a uniform that is so right, leave it alone.

My favorite is The Captain/ U.S. Agent costume. I think it would look even better if it were blue. I know I am in the minority but that is the costume Steve was wearing when I started reading comics so it's special to me. Truthfully I don't even like to thik of as the U.S. Agent. To me that costume is always the Captain's Costume and that's generally how I refer to it. It's also the one I use when playing Ultimate Alliance.

I like the "traditional" Cap costume that he's used most of the time. I also really like the black costume. I'm glad US Agent started using it so they wouldn't have to throw it out of comics for good. I didn't care much for the newest (Bucky's) version at first, but it's grown on me quite a bit. I really like Alex Ross's illustration of it.

The traditional one for me as well (1964-2001) but I can handle the additions of the military pouch belt and the treads in the boots that came along in 2005.
I also like the look they used in the Golden Age where the belly stripes didn't go all the way around to the back (cut off at the sides) and Cap had a larger star on his back. That worked for me as well. __________________

I too prefer the original costume. It looked, to me at least, that he had on navy jeans/dungarees and and shirt, and there were no funky scales, no web belt, etc. I do like the some of the revisionism of the WWII era look since that would have been a more likely look for him at the time, and I like the modification of the boots in the modern era to have a tread to the bottom. But the classic is still my favorite.

I gotta go with the WW2 and the Bucky costume. The US Agent costume is a close runner up.

I'm a traditionalist when it comes to my superheroes so I like the standard costume with attached cowl and round shield. But they're all Captain America so they're all great.

Sorry to disagree Pole805, but I love the classic Cap look. Right down to the wings on his mask.

I'm right there with you JBB. Classic Cap costume is the best. However I also like Bucky's Cap costume a lot.

I like the look of the Ultimate WWII Cap, but it's got a limited scope. For many, outside the Cap faithfuls, Cap is Cap when in the traditional Earth-616 garb, with the wings and the cavalier boots, without those annoying (to some) red shoulder patches. The weapons and equipment all over him look good, but again, serve a limited purpose- for many, Cap was all acrobatics, martial arts and shield. There's no need to make him like First Sergeant Conrad Duke Hauser or General Hawk. Bucky's costume looks good, but it should stay on Bucky and nobody else, while we'd prefer to see the Captain costume worn only by John Walker.
This discussion reminds me of a letter to the comics from a retired officer, who said that Cap needs a change in costume. The next issue's letters page had nearly every writer choosing to disagree. All costumes look good, and serve a purpose, but Captain America is known best in that one costume, and should stick to that one.

No one likes that? I actually perfer him without the wings...sorry...I mean, I will be really dispointed if they don't use the Ultimate versions of Cap that I have posted earlier in the movie. Captain America needs have proper equipment. Allright look, it's either those 2 costumes or nothing. The classic is good but...You know, define Captain, war hero ect. I could go on all day on how I like the versions I posted earlier BETTER...

I think those Ultimates versions are great looking. They just don't look like Captain America should in my opinion.
Chances are very high that Cap will not have the wings on his cowl in the movie, however, and I'm willing to bet that he'll end up with more of an Ultimates look to his costume. Lots of gadgets, weapons, utility belt, etc.
I hope I'm wrong but that's my bet. Expect the worst and hope for the best I always say. That way you're never disappointed.
(totally got that old saying wrong )

No offense Pole, but proper equipment??? I agree that that stuff is cool in limited scenarios, but that is what makes Cap, Cap.... He is the shield, and the shield defines him. Cap is a defender and that is what the shield symbolizes... Defense. Thats what makes Cap so cool is that he can do all of the things he does without shooting people up or blowing them up all the time (although it is cool for him to do that stuff every once in a while). Like when he handed Bucky the bomb to blow up the robot in the streets of New York. OH WAIT! Thats exactly what started the whole Super Hero Registration Act which led to the Civil War and the death of our hero! I rest my case....
That being said, I do agree that all of the costumes and artwork are very cool, but the original idea of Cap is what makes him so unique. Pole don't take this the wrong way, I totally respect the costumes you like best. But I'm only stressing my opinions about the ones that I like best.
Also Arjun... I totally agree that Bucky's costume is only for Bucky. That is what made that part of the whole story more interesting (among other things) is that he carried a gun and a knife. It was something different than we were all used to. Personally I woudn't mind seeing Bucky go back to the Winter Soldier costume and stay an Avenger. I like that costume.
