No TV intro was ever more patriotic than the Adventures of Superman with George Reeves which declared apologetically that Superman fought for truth, justice, and the American way.

I think some people got the idea in recent times that the American way is some kind of boast of American superiority, but really it's an embodiment of ideas of justice, freedom, and equality for all mankind. It's the ability for a man to pursue his dreams without fear of an government standing in his way, provided of course, his dreams don't take away from the rights of others to pursue their dreams.

G.I. Joe theme

Got to love this TV theme. Once it gets stuck in your head it never leaves.

For good measure. This is one before my time, and one I never got a chance to watch in reruns. It's the Captain America cartoon theme song.

Another Cap TV theme this one from the Captain America 1970's TV Movie
. There aren't any lyrics, but it just makes me feel kind of patriotic.

And how about the Superman Movie theme. That's a good one to play while shooting off fireworks.
