I just read this great article on superhero wheels! Every superhero gets a sweet ride. It definitely got me thinking about which is the best superhero and car pairing out there!

Here's the link: http://www.boldride.com/blog/2012/04/the-list-superhero-wheels/

This article says Captain America would drive a Ford GT, what do you think?!

I don't think CAP would drive a Ford GT. Everybody knows he rides a motorcycle. And I don't think it'd be a Harley either, it'd be a toss up either a Victory or an Indian. That's what CAP would drive!

He was partial to vans on the TV Cap movies.

Totally forgot about that! Hilarious.

That van popped up during the Gruenwald run of Cap books. Where Cap took his battle of supervillians on the road (Plus drawing Captain America comic books).

I might see Cap in a convertible or a 2 door coupe, but I can't see him in a modern day sports car or sedan. I'm (very slowly) getting use to seeing Archie and his gang riding in that 2 door 'Furd', than that 1920-something Edsel.

Anyone can see (Or imagine) Cap on that new 3-wheels cycle thing?

How about Cap in a 69 Dodge Charger, but with an American flag painted on top instead of the Confederate Flag like the General Lee's. Maybe he could call it General Patton, or something like that.

The General Patton? That's pretty good. While you're at it, he might as well have wings painted on the doors instead of numbers and the letter A on the hood. Maybe that's too much.

Yeah, I liked a lot of those Gruenwald issues when he'd get tips on his Captain America tipline computer network. I think that was well before people were knowledgable about the internet too, so kinda pioneering writing there I think.

I like that idea. I bet I couldn't make it look right though, but it would be cool with a big A and some wings on it.

Check out what Jerod at superherouniverse did with the idea. Cap Charger!

Why wouldn't a World War II type of guy just drive a Jeep?
Posted:  15 Jun 2012 19:45
He might, but you got to figure an American icon would love to drive some good old American muscle.

Is this limited to cars because the first thing I thought of was a Harley or, better yet, one of those old Indian motorcycles?

The thing about "good old American muscle" cars is . . . they were before and after his time!

At least he'd be familiar with the Jeep name from his time in WWII.

Cap definitely I know would ride a Harley.

Spirit, I'm not saying Cap wouldn't drive a jeep, but surely if he got a chance to check out a 69 Dodge Charger or maybe a 69 Fastback Mustang, he'd have to own one. Maybe he could get Tony Stark to buy him one. He sure owes Cap.
