I just recently finished reading part 1 of the new story-arc for the CAAB series, and it's all about FRED DAVIS/Bucky and the SPIRIT OF 76/William Naslund/Captain America!!!! Is this cool or is this cool????
Most of it is set in the present MU, with flashbacks to that brief term when Naslund was Cap 2. But Naslund and Davis were Cap and Bucky from early 1945 to 46, serving in the Pacific theater (Fighting Japanese soldiers on Pacific islands), sooo, there's stories to retcon and write in that period.
If this book continues, just maybe Marvel will do that 50s Commie Smashing Cap and Bucky mini series I've been blogging for.
Suggestions for future story-arcs for CAAB:
James Barnes/Bucky and Rick Jones
Captain America and Rick Jones -- both books can be done by Peter David, since I loved his work on RJ in the Captain Marvel series.
American Dream gets a partner, Bucky
(That Alternate future female Cap could run into that baby that Jack Monroe/Nomad for awhile called Bucky. Why not, that other World female Bucky who is the new Nomad could run into meeting that baby.)
