Oh, yeah. Well, I was 21 when I was a corporal and I forgot I aged about 11 years since then. I suppose if I was still in I would be a staff sargeant by now. Hopefully.
I would be great for action sequences and maybe a few short lines because I can't act my way out of a paper bag. It would also be kind of cool to put on fatigues again. I've been out so long it seems like a lifetime ago.
Holy sh$t would that be cool if you got hired on to play Cap. __________________Of course, that's just my opinion. I could be wrong.

It is cool to put on cammies again. I work with a company called GunMetal Group. I do a military related jobs for them on TV and movies, and about 90% of the guys are former Marines. Some Army, and some Air Force, but mostly Marines. Check out www.gunmetalgroup.com if you want to know more about. I totally feel like I'm back in when I work with them. I worked "Shark" on Weds, doing SWAT stuff, it was pretty cool. They wanted us to do there tactics, because they thought looked good on screen, but we knew that it was not tactically the best thing for the scenerio.

You actually work for gunmetalgroup? Cool! Keep at it and Marvel might notice you.
If they have auditions for Cap are you going to go?
Oh, I owe you one of these...

OORAH! You did not own me the Semper Fi, but I appreciate it. I found where you gave me the S/F (Semper Fi, that's how we finish our letters and emails to each other in GunMetal, instead of R/S or truly yours or something like that).
You better believe I'll go to a CAP audition! But honestly, I don't think it will be an audition for me.It will be more like a meeting with the producers, the acting part will come after the fact they realize I am right for the part. I have said all along, that more than any other reason for me wanting to play CAP is because I truly know that I am right for the part. Remember, I want a great CAP movie too, not just to be in it. That will take care of itself.
You are right, Marvel will notice!! I live about 8 miles away from Marvel studio in Beverly Hills. I will meet with them there when the time is right. This I will to happen, just as I was attracted to this website four or so years ago.
Yeah, I work for Gunmetal. I don't do a lot of "advising" as I do on camera things, for the fact that I am an actor, not a military advisor, although, I give pointers to actors or whatever to people who need it if I see they look like they don't know how to hold a pistol or something of that nature.

Were you stationed at Pendleton and just stay out in California? Or did you get out and go back?

NOPE, it's called being conceded, it would be confidence if he said I'm confident that I will be able to play Captain America, but instead he said I am going to play Captain America! That is all I have to say about that. Also you can't just play somebody in a movie just because you want to, you have to have a dream to become an actor, you have to have a goal for becoming an actor, and you also have to be a good actor.I have wanted to become an actor ever since I was 2 years old believe it or not, and I have a dream to become an actor, I have a goal for becoming an actor, and I'm a good actor.
Quote: Or should we go with your choices of Hayden Christiansen and Brad Pitt? First of all Arnold Schwarzenegger, Ben Affleck, and Hayden Christensen were my ideas on who should play Captain America, nobody has to agree with me, it's my opinion, also I never said anything about Brad Pitt or Matt Damon, I don't think that Brad Pitt or Matt Damon should play Captain America. __________________

He knows Hollywood is full of thousands of other actors that will be trying out for Cap. Hell, he might even be joking. Difference is, I'm smart enough to understand what he means.
"We're gonna beat 'em this time"! I must have told myself that 1000 times before hockey games against teams I knew were going to mop the floor with us.

It's alright Tim. It's a free society and he can say what he wants. I taunted him with the 'professor' comment so I am probably to blame. However, it's your board and need to run it how you see fit.
The last thing I want is to ruin things here. I thought I over reacted to Danny also. I'll try and keep my shenanigans to a minimum. __________________Of course, that's just my opinion. I could be wrong.

Quote: Also you can't just play somebody in a movie just because you want to, you have to have a dream to become an actor,
You see, this it the prime example of somebody speaking about what they think they know about without doing proper research.
I remember when I first found this site years back. I posted with haste on here for the first time too then about how I wanted to play CAP in a movie. I waited for replys to my post, but I did not get any probably because I realized this was a niche community where posters knew each other before they spouted off. SO, I read other people's posts and topics for about another year and a half or so before I posted again. That was on the old board, but I learned to like this one better.
Captain, if you had done your home work, you would have read on past postings that I am not just some kid with dreams of being and actor. If you have dreams that is great, but I don't have dreams, I have reality, and I live in reality. Also, I am not trying to be an actor, I am an actor. I live in LA, I have an agent, I go on auditions, I have headshots, I get new ones when I need to update, I do student films to build my resume, I went to college and got a degree in TV and Film production with an emphasis on Screenwriting so that WHEN I have my own production company I can write my own movies that I wish to star in, I take acting classes as I see fit, I do not work during the day so that I can make sure I can make it to my auditions at a moments notice if I needed to, I worked as a bouncer for almost 5 years EVERY friday and saturday night so that I could focus on school and not have to work during the work week, I saved $30,000 in 4 years in the Marines so that I would not have to stress about money while laying the ground work to become an actor and live the actor lifestyle (ie, not working during the day AND actually surviving), I did HORRIBLE paying extra work to get my SAG vouchers so that I could have the honor of paying $1500 to join the Screen Actors Guild, I've lifted weights (drug free mind you) consistenly and with intensity since I was 15 so that I could be an action star actor, I do cardio 3 times a week to stay lean and somewhat cut, I eat organic because the food is a higher quality (for physique and health purposes, I actually cook too!), I stay out of the sun (I used to fry when I was a teen, but says lot since I am 15 blocks from the beach) and RARLY drink, don't Smoke, don't dip or have any tatoos (that's saying a lot for a Marine) don't smoke the cheba or any other drugs. So, to sum it up, Captain, I think (I say this for you, since I KNOW, not THINK) I have more done than just done my part to lay the foundation for not just becoming an actor, but to play CAP and be an action star like the Arnold's and Stallone's of my childhood.
Also get this, I KNEW at age 15 that I wanted to be an actor, it is not coincidence that I started pumping iron at 15. I also, competed in two bodybuilding competitions in CO my senior year in High school, winning one of them.
Just so you know, I forged my route out here in LA and have paved my path to stardom, so please don't tell me that I HAVE to do, because what I HAVE to do is completely different from what you HAVE to do. Next time, do your homework, then tell me what you think. And please give me a little credit and possibly the benefit of the doubt. If you do not think that you can attain certain things in your life, at least try to give others the benefit of the doubt and after a while, you may just see that that change in thinking may just rub off on yourself, and you might surprise yourself with what you can accomplish.
I would like to sum this up with thanking you, Captain. I don't think you meant to insult me, so no harm no foul, but what you did do is remind me of what I have accomplished and all that I have done to get myself where I am. It re-iterates what I have dedicated my life with -- discipline. I know Coporal America knows about that one. A strong sense of dicipline will get you where you what to be.
Thanks, and Semper Fidelis,
S/F

I appreciate the looking out, Tim, but I am not made of glass. I just don't get wrapped up in drama. I prefer to spend my time doing things helpful and positive. That is why I am not usually caught up in the huge long political and religious posts on here. I'm an actor, I have to get in the habit of not talking too much. Last thing we need in this country is another actor voicing his opinion about how the world turns. I have plenty opinions, you just won't hear too many outside of CAP talk on here.

Well, that is kind of a (short) funny story, okay, it's not really that funny either, but I am originally from Colorado. So I left for boot camp the October after graduation, and I was never stationed at Pendleton, just was there for boot camp (obviously not in the MCRD phases) and School of Infantry. So when I was getting out while I was in Bahrain, I told them I wanted to get out in California because that is where I wanted to live and go to school, but they told me since that was farter west than my home of origin, that would have to EAS in Virginia then they would fly me back to CO. I knew that would not be good since I knew there was a good chance that if I stopped in CO, I would stay there a lot longer than I wanted to, so I convinced them to let me EAS at Pendleton. Maybe they where cool about since the admin clerk was a Cpl, and I was 245lb Sgt at the time. But that is a big maybe

And a big 'Here Here' to your story. I for one know it's no picnic to try and make it in Hollywood.

I spent my last 2 years at Tustin. I really liked California.
We should have a beer when I go out there. My dad lives in Palm Springs and I usually fly into LAX. Next visit to my old mans tell me if you have the time, actually the Miller time.

Then you have the nerve not to believe WHO311 who is actually out there in the trenches of Hollywood actually doing it? WHO311 is on the IMDB you nimrod. __________________Of course, that's just my opinion. I could be wrong.

It sure seems to be working.
So this is all you can come up with? A bunch of pissy littly faces. Are you going to explain why you don't believe WHO and tell us about your acting? Or are you going to make more dumb-ass comments?
'Whatever'? Did you stick your hand up and roll your head back and forth when you typed this? __________________Of course, that's just my opinion. I could be wrong.
