This morning, evidence was presented that American Tour De France Winner Floyd Landis tested positive for higher than expected levels of testosterone right after the race.

Now this could mean one of two things.

1.) Landis cheated, as the french have suspected all along. How could yet ANOTHER American blow by them in their own race? "C'est impossible!" they keep saying.

2.) Landis is just confirmation of something the rest of us already knew, Americans naturally DO have more testosterone than the average Frenchman. Despite the obvious anotomic handicap this might present when riding a bike (with regard to the source of the testosterone), we seem to find a way beat them again and again. I bet Landis is eventually cleared just as Lance Armstrong was. When that happens, we'll have to humbly and simply say, "C'est la vie".

Maybe he has more testosterone in him naturally. Working out all the time builds up your testerone. I eat Oysters all the time myself. That's supposed to increase testosterone.

Thats what I'm sayin. Thats what Landis is saying.

I know he had a great comeback in the middle of the race, but like he keeps pointing out- it would be nuts for an athlete in the middle of all that testing to dope in such an obvious way. As scientists that side with Landis keep pointing out- it wouldn't do him any good- synbthetic testosterone is not Popeye's spinach, it takes a couple of weeks of treatment.

I totally agree that they need to keep this jive out of sports by any means nessecary. Unfortunately, competition naturally breeds cheaters, so we simply need unbiased ways of countering corruption just like we attempt to do with the market and politics.

The thing is tho- is the Tour unbiased? I'm inclined to say no. I'd like to think we'd handle it fairly if a French baseball player made Hank Aaron and Babe Ruth look like chumps, but c'mon- we'd be pissed off and we wouldn't belive Pierre Bonds was for real.

So with that in mind, they just need an unbiased investigation. Hopefully Landis will keep his mouth shut and keep calmly pressing forward like Lance Armstrong did and all this will be resolved. Come to think of it- he needs to go to Lance for advice and get the number of a good lawyer.

Yeah your innocent until proven guilty unless you live in fascist government like cold war Russia or some of the middle east countries.

Well if dude is unnaturally enhancing his testerone he most likely couldn't keep his mouth shut. One of the drawbacks is intense feelings of anger kind of like the Hulk.

I feel all intense just from working out.
