Captain America is kidnapped by the Red Skull and Spider-Man is blamed for it. This design is based on John Romita's, and looks quite good, and voice actor George DiCenzo does his bit well. There is one hitch- we're fans of Cap, and don't like to see him taken hostage or trapped or indisposed, as has happened so often.

Was this that Spiderman cartoon, in that series that came after the NBC's Spiderman and the Amazing friends series.  This was when he dumped Iceman and Firestar and started teaming up with other Marvel superheroes.

Anyhoo, Parker walked into the Bugle and found Jameson waving the American flag and proclaimed his hero-worship of Captain America in an upcoming parade honoring the good Captain.  Jealous and envious, Parker donned the Spidey suit and set out to drop in on Cap in the parade, ...about all I can remember until the end where the city had forgiven Spidey and Cap suggested a Spiderman parade.  Spidey later lamented that he might have to shake hands with Jameson.

See if you can find that Spiderman and the Amazing friends episode where they travel to some desert locale to find a secret Red Skull base.  That swastika was featured very prominent in that show, ...and limited this episode in reruns.
