W.T.F???? There was a Starship Troopers 3?!?! Wow... where have I been?
Anyway... I'm still all for Casper wearing that big star on his chest. He just has that "look" to me. __________________Spin the tires, light the fires.

KAAAAAAAAAABBOOOOOOOOMMMMM!!!!!
Or.....just feed him or any of the other pixie stix sized pretenders to Steve Rogers. I'm sure they would go nicely with his morning protein shake.

im not sure anyone has bothered to take notice, but casper is 40 years old. think thats a little too old to play a 20 year old CA? now this is just thrown out there, how about ryan reynolds? young and ripped and a pretty good actor. maybe? maybe not because hes playing in the new wolverine movie. that sort of ruins that idea

Mark Paul is around his 30's I believe....
Casper is fine for other things but he doesn't even look like Steve Rogers.
Mark Paul has the whole blonde haired blue eyed thing going on!

Quote: Casper should be cast as Bucky, tie him to a bomb and blow him to hell in the first 1/2 of the film.
Casper Van Dien is too old to play Bucky, and I don't think Cap was 20 years old when he first appeared. He seemed around Casper's age. Casper does look like Cap in my opinion.

Yep, it's called Starship Troopers 3: Marauder. It comes on DVD and Blu-Ray August 5th this year. If you didn't know they made a second one I don't blame you, I wish I had never known because the second one sucked and didn't have any of the cast members from the first, but now there's a third and Casper's back so all Starship Troopers fans are happy, btw, check out their official website HERE.

I enjoyed ST. I was lacking in plot but full of action. Casper is past his prime for young roles and to me he looks nothing like Captain America.
My main pick was always Aaron Eckhart. If you have seen him in the recent men's fitness mag he looked like he had a great foundation to build some solid muscle over a few years time. Too bad he is too old anyway for the part. Mark Paul doesn't have his chin or exact look but he has the youth I think.

Well, I knew there was a second Starship Troopers... and I definately knew that it sucked like no other. ((I told a friend of mine that I was going to rent it or buy it, or something... and he just /flipped out/. He said things like: "No way! Spare yourself! Not worth it!" among other things. (He's always been a fan of the first movie. Not to mention a drama queen. LoL.)
But anyway, if Casper does play Captain America, I wouldn't be surprised... since I'm kind of set on him in the role by this point... LoL. Although, I am VERY excited to discover who is actually chosen.
If and when that happens, I'll be all ears/eyes/whatever. __________________Spin the tires, light the fires.

Casper the ghost. I've seen bigger high school teachers than him.
He is a small man. Looks weak too. Not saying he's a bad actor tho. Just doesn't look like no warrior man to me. Looks tiny.

If Mathew guy is Cap, i would wait to see what critics say.

Starship Troopers did have an interesting plot. Sort of based on the WWII fascist era. Anyways I think Casper does have the looks to be Cap. And again I highly doubt Captain America was young when he first appeared on the battlefield. I think he was in his 30's or late 20's, so Casper could play him if age is the issue, and if looks is the issue.

So you're suggesting someone like Sylvester Stallone or Arnold Schwarzenegger play Cap right? A body builder can NOT play Cap. Even though Cap is genetically enhanced he doesn't look like a body builder. Casper has the right build for Cap.

Well, see, the good thing about being an actor with a substantial amount of money to your name... you can hire someone to help you - for lack of a better phrase - GET BUFF. LoL. He may not look buff enough at this point (which I think he looks pretty damn nice anyway), but he can train and work out until those muscles show up. =^_^= __________________Spin the tires, light the fires.

Yeah, what Captain SanDiego said, for Ghost Rider Nicholas Cage worked out for like 3 months before he started the movie.

Soooo, I went to Comic-Con this weekend! It was AWESOME, to say the least.
And guess whose autograph I got........?
CASPER VAN DIEN. LoL. Even in person, my opinion that he should be Captain America soared higher. Pictures just can't do that man justice. He's just georgous, and sooo entertaining.
He is Captain America in my book. __________________Spin the tires, light the fires.

You're sooooo lucky! I wanted to go to Comic Con but it was too far away. I would've gone to the NY Comic Con but at the time I didn't have money, Oh well maybe next year. Anyways so how was the Starship Troopers 3 panel?

John Cena, the WWE Wrestler turned actor (re: The Marine) would make a perfect Cap.
He's huge, he's acrobatic, he's serious and he has good enough looks to play the part.
I'm not wrestling fan but I was somewhat impressed with his acting debut. It was much better than expected.
What do you think? Make sure you watch "The Marine" before you make a decision!

I like John Cena MCG but he would get beat the heck out of and crushed by the New Captain America!! This guy is Arnold and Stallone put into one!
I read he also being looked at to play the Terminator in the sequel to Terminator Salvation.

I'm sick of everyone stating that these stupid pro wrestlers would be perfect to play a certain part in a movie. I'm sick of it. I've watched The Marine twice, it sucked very badly, John Cena is horrible at acting. At least The Rock is a good actor, he's the only pro wrestler I like because he's a good actor. If a big muscle person is gonna play Cap I'd rather it be Sylvester Stallone.

Quote: If a big muscle person is gonna play Cap I'd rather it be Sylvester Stallone. Pfft...Sylvester Stallone is actually a half way decent Cap, I wouldn't pick him but if there's only crappy actors, might as well.

James Franco would be great for the role, people can change their minds. I think he said what he did about the roles of super heroes because of the way he was thinking it in the spirit of real comic book fans and comparing the way we view comics vs. anything that can come up in say like movies or cartoons. I feel he'd be the best choice and I'd bet he do it if the money was right. My other choice was Kevin Smith from Xena, but he passed away, so sad. Then their was Ben Browder. He's good too, but I feel that the best man just from seeing how he acts in different roles would be James Franco.

Ultimately, is Marvel doing a movie with Steve Rogers? The current comic suggests NOT. All this conjecture means nothing if the current story line holds.

The movie will be Steve Rogers, and I'm guessing that will correspond with his return to the MU. __________________Captain America is an FDR Democrat.

James Franco would be a good pic, but he's already a character in the Marvel Universe so he couldn't play Cap.
