Okay, sonyou alll know my other outburst revievled that I'm stressed out.
Well right know, I really am.
Don't know where too start.

All I'm asking is; do you have any tips on maintaining a low stress level, falling asleep (it's 2:45am)  sooner or anything like that?

Oh and my spelling may suck 'cause it's 2:45am and I'm really tired and I just don't  care.

Hi Pole,
I don't know what to tell you other than you need to try to find out what is stressing you out and do some positive things to deal with it. I've had many stressful moments in my life and can tell you they're not always easy to find the source or to deal with once you know what they are. If you need to seek out some kind of counseling don't be ashamed or worried about what others think. Its really no different than going to a doctor when you have a physical illness. It's actually a good sign for you because it shows that you do want to have a stress free life and you can be a better person for yourself and for those who care about you. Take care buddy and let us know how you're doing.

Exercise helps. Even if it doesn't seem like a work out but just getting out and walking helps.

A change of scenery. Road trips and day trips are good to get away and recharge.

Sleep. Just having a good night of sleep always helps.

Me time. Not just for the above but setting aside time for yourself for reading, TV, or whatever helps.

Time. Like sleep, time usually helps and heals.

Talking. Talking to friends and family helps to vent, assuming they are not the ones causing the stress.

Dealing/resolving any problems head on. Depends on what is causing the stress. If stressed out about money or bills, making progress like a plan for saving money or finding a job, any forward progress, is usually a relief.

I agree with exercise.  Nothing can help with stress more than regular exercise.  Also try meditation.  There's nothing supernatural about meditation.  It's just about regulating your breathing and trying to clear your mind.  Search the internet for different techniques and see which one works for you.  Good luck.

Speaking of healthy living I guess I should take this time to plug my new health site hip2bfit.com.  I think eating right and exercise do make a big difference in stress, but I'll be honest I'm not sure if there is ever a whole month where I'm completely stress free, and I really try hard at the healthy living. The last couple of days have been horrendous actually, for no apparent reason, but you know I don't know about yours, but mine could be from too much protein, some kind allergy perhaps, maybe I overdid it at the gym, could be just about anything.

Tonight I'm thinking about just taking a nice long walk with my wife after we get out of the gym. If it's not too hot. Walking is a great stress reducer. I know sitting just makes stress build and build. A person has to get out and get moving.

I turn off all the lights, put in a Carlos Nakai CD, close my eyes, take deep breaths and try to still my centre.  I try to ride the music with my mind into calm and stillness and to restore hozoji.

I think you have a great work stress. You have to eat healthy and have to do some exercises. If you still not feeling well then you need to visit your personal doctor for further help.

Not to start a riot, but ever thought about going to church? I stay stressed out but when I go to church I come out feeling great. If you're not religious, I understand, but have to plug in with the whole "Get saved, man." Nothing better in life.

Lower your caffeine intake, listen to your body when you need to rest, and strength training exercise!

"Not to start a riot, but ever thought about going to church? "

I'm not a religious man so, for me, this would not work but I worked with this one lady for years who was the most angry woman I ever knew. Her temper even got her fired. Years later, when I met her again, she was so mellow. She became a jehovah witness and it did the impossible: tamed that "beast" in her. I was amazed.

Its the summer, so there's lots to do.  For stress, I suggest a punching bag or a baseball bat and start pelting balls around.  Better yet, find a swimming pool.  A nice refreshing dip in cold water and laps should tire you out for sleep.

Take my advice and forget everything about C******n A****ca, and show up to the theatre on the 22nd.

This may sound counter intuitive, but I find, when I need to sleep especially, when I'm "too tired to sleep" it helps to get a little caffine in my system.

A little known side effect of caffine is that it puts you directly into R.E.M. once you fall asleep, making the sleep you do get actually a bit more effective.

Anyway, don't do a lot of caffine, but like just a can of Diet Mtn Dew, and lay down without distraction and close your eyes.

If your desperate it likely couldn't hurt.
