I personally think Baron Zemo is awesome and would love to see him used as a minor character in the film. I came across this article. Baron Zemo Rumored to be in Captain America First Avenger

I'd think he'd be perfect for the movie...another ass Cap could kick is just fine and dandy.

Of course Baron Zemo has to be in this movie! He's the guy that killed Bucky, so he has to be there. He can also be there to help set up for an even more important role in The Avengers, where he leads the Masters of Evil. In the comics, it was easy to make him a villain for the Avengers, because it had only been 20 years since World War II, but this time it will be a little more difficult, since there is a 70 year difference in the time periods. But they can probably come up with some reason for him to be alive. Or do you think that they will just let the Red Skull take Zemo's place and leave Zemo out completely, and the Skull will be Bucky's killer and possibly the leader of the Masters of Evil in The Avengers?
