It was 66 years ago today that a lot of brave men launched the single biggest attack in World War II against the Nazi forces of Germany, which wound up to be the beginning of the end for the axis powers. Please take the time to give thanks for the freedoms we now enjoy from the events of that conflict.

Amen to that. God bless every single man that hit those beaches and everyone who was back home, praying for their loved ones. JBB: Good of you to mention this man.

I can only imagine what it would have been like to hit the beach. They are all true hero's.

My neighbor at my old place landed on juno i believe. he didn't talk much about it but he said it was sensory overload to the max. He said between the noise, the smell and the chaos it was really hard to register or feel anything. It seriously must have just been pure horror. Thanks for posting this JBB. I think im gonna go see him soon and check in on him.

He looked at me and said "sorry pal. it aint real. deal with it." LOL!
