Anyone reading the Avengers title? I am really liking the classic themes Bendis is putting into it and I am really happy to see Thor, Bucky Cap, and Iron Man together in one title. As it should be no suprise the Next Avengers from the animated movie are making their first comic premier and I wonder how this will pan out for our characters in the present.

James Rogers is the son of Steve Rogers and Natasha Romanoff, so will this kill the relationship Bucky and Natasha are having? I hope not, but one can only wonder.

I don't like the idea of bringing the Next Avengers into the comics but Kang happens to be my favorite Avengers villian so i'll suffer it. The best stuff from this ish was Steve and Tonys interactions. "Let's just try not to kill each other." Cant wait till Avengers Prime flushes that out a bit more.

Yeah, I don't know about that bit with Natasha and Steve's son. I haven't read the issue yet (I get my comics mailed to me once a month) and I haven't warmed to Bendis on the Avengers all these years. But I'm jumping on the Avengers bandwagon and getting all the new issues. I even went and picked up some back issues of AVENGERS: THE INITIATIVE too since I heard Diamondback and members of the old New Warriors were regular characters.

I just picked up Secret Avengers #1, it has a great classic Avengers feel, but with a hint of Invaders in it. Cap loves his position and enjoys staying out of the lime light. This really seems like a natural progression for him beyond the Captain America mantle.
