Hey guys.... I just saw Iron Man 2 for the second time.  I know that we have all seen the big Cap sighting which I don't want to spoil for anybody. (you know the obvious one with Agent Colston).

But I also found another one which I have never heard about before. I noticed it when Tony Stark opens the metal crate left to him by his father (the crate given to him by Nick Fury). As he is lifting stuff out look inside and you will see an issue of Captain America #1 laying inside the crate. This must tie into how they are going to link Howard Stark to Project Rebirth, as I've read.

I haven't read about this anywhere else, so I was totally excited to get home and let you all know about it!

I saw that too. Pretty cool huh?

I totally missed that.

Who wants to bet that that stuff they shot stark with to get better in the donut shop was super soldier serum related?

Hello all.

New guy here, but have been to this site numerous times.  I saw Iron man 2 twice.  The first time I watched the movie, second time I watched for easter eggs.  I Saw the comic, but was upset they didn't show Stark taking it out of the trunk.  Also, what was up with that shield???  Was that some sort or prototype that was never finished?

I sure hope not, that shield was flimsy.

I think it was just Tony's little side project of him trying to duplicate the original shield. We'll probably get more of the connection between Howard Stark, the Super Soldier Serum, and the shield in the Cap movie.

I only saw the one where he uses the shield as a balancer...mmmmm, I'll half to see if I can find it....

That was the only one we were talking about. It reminds me more of a hub cap.

The shield was definitely a crappy hunk of junk.  I hope they don't plan on giving that to Cap.  Although they did spent a few dollars more on Chris Evans than they planned so maybe in these tough economic times thats what poor Cap will be stuck with...... Let's hope not.  I am doing all I can to keep myself optimistic about the Cap movie.  I know we all have high expectations, but I really hope they do it right.

Yeah, I know this is off topic but, anyone else find that the movie story doesn't really pick up until Black Widow and Nick Fury show up??
P.S. Samuel made a BADASS Fury....

Oh and did anyone stick until the end of the credits to see the Thor part?
Posted:  19 May 2010 14:41
I didn't notice anything that great about Jackson as Fury, but Johansson did a pretty good job as Black Widow. She really knows how to kick some butt.

I stayed till after the credits and saw Thor's hammmer. It looked just like the one in the comics.

Hope everyone is enjoying Iron Man 2. As I stated before I'm just gonna wait until the DVD comes out and hopefully it will have some bonus goodies. Please do not worry about talking about the film and spoiling it for those of us who haven't seen it. This has never affected my viewing pleasure. It's the old thing about you can hear about something but when you do see it , its still another thing.. enjoyable.

To me, Thor's hammer Mjolnir was the best easter egg they had. Unfortunately I spoiled myself by seeing a picture of it before I saw the movie on opening night. Damn people in Eastern Asia.

I will be seeing this on Saturday...I can't wait!   I really feel Marvel has finnally figured out this movie making thing.

I just saw this film, really enjoyed it!

The Shield was kind of a weird refernce, since yes, that really wasn't Cap's Shield, though I suppose it might have been an early prototype left over from the Howard Stark Collection. It seemed to be an attempt at recreating Cap's shield (with various layers) It was a little bit of downer that Tony had so little respect for the item.

I have to say I'm a little confused by the Hammer at the end of the film...I mean they are going with a Don Blake origin, so does he get the hammer in New Mexico (sort of like what occured in FF just before Thor came back?) or are they doing the whole cane to hamemr thing?

I was waiting for them to say the new element was Vibranium, but I guess that wouldn't make much sense since Vibranium existed in the 1940's.

All in all a very good movie.

So many hints...the map of the world w/ the dots on it...Is Namor going to be an Avenger?  Who is the dot on the West Coast?  I think Hawkeye but it could be Ant Man.  The definites are Thor, Cap, and Black Panther.  Check it out on the stil screen when Nick is chatting w. Robert Downey.  Good potential.

Actually Matches they aren't going with a Donald Blake origin, Thor will just be Thor to my dismay, so there will be no cane to my knowledge. It will be interesting to see how Thor will interact with Jane Foster without the introduction of Donald Blake. I guess we will have to see.
