Would Captain America Torture?

According to the New Avengers Finale, sure, why not.

If you've picked it up, you know what I am about to say, if you haven't well then

SPOILER ALERT!

So...in New Avengers Finale, Captain America (well Bucky, but with Steve's blessing appearantly) heads off with the other New Avengers to find the Hood. How do they do this.  By finding his non costumed, non super powered cousin, and beat him near to death to give up the Hood's location, and then torture him to get him to call the Hood and sell him out.

Now, here's what's interesting in this.  This isn't a ticking time bomb scenerio.  This isn't Jack Bower trying to save lives.  This is routine police work circumvented by as Norman Osborn put it, guys in cosutme who decided they had the authority to do so.  The hood was depowered, and was not a threat at the time of their decision to attack, capture, detain, and torture a petty criminal in hopes of finding another petty criminal.

And that is the kick off to the Heroic Age.  Makes you wonder how Heroic this age is really going to be.
